Title: A Stake on Mars?
Post by: 08rubicon on January 14, 2014, 04:40:39 PM
Anyone who has the skill and tools to attach an image, please check out
curiosity raw images, mast cam, sol 511--2014-01-13 04:20:45 utc.
Because I have unlimited, unwavering, and complete faith in nasa, I am
sure that the item in the lower center of the image is nothing more than a
rock, blown into this shape and position by the relentless winds of mars..
It is a freak of nature that it looks like the many wood posts I have driven
into the ground over the past eighty years..

Hey 08rubicon, I think I see what you are talking about. It does look somewhat like it has been pounded on as you say! But, really just no way to know whether that is natural or not. If there were more of these nearby, we might be able to draw different conclusions. The fact that while probably not very tall, if this was just "rock blown in", it probably would not be standing vertically, doncha think?

Thanks for showing us your find! :)

By the way, for a full and better focused discussion on this different anomaly subject, it probably would be good for a mod yo move this to be moved to a new/separate OP "Mars Anomaly".

Would be helpful for Us dullards to have a link to these images.  I did a search for "sol 511 2014-01-13 04:20:45" and got four "hits" but none was a NASA image...

I get an option of a number of sets, including a 3D one (I have no colored cellophane to make glasses with...).

Is it the first set You are talking about?

I went and checked all the images for all the cameras listed - some stop before the 4:20 mark - a couple skip from 4:19 to 4:24...  Hmmmm....

Did They pull the image?

It would also be helpful if people actually USE the resources that a guy by the name of Zorgon set up for Pegasus

I still suggest this be moved to a Mars Anomaly forum new OP, as this is not revelant to this op subject.   ???

I read it, but I certainly did not read it close enough!!!!! I wasn't aware that we now had such capability! That is just great, if you are going to keep it like this. Is this in lieu of "The Coppermine Gallery" approach?

"G" for you in any case!!!

It has ALWAYS been like this on every forum but ATS (but even there it worked :P )

The gallery is for storing your own images that are not on the net
