How Big Is The Universe?- Discovery News.
Matrix may not agree with this !
We all know that the universe is big. It's very big...but just how large is it? Join Anthony as he discusses some pretty astounding new theories about the universe, and how we're extremely close to finding out almost exactly how big it is.

Well, to me, he only discusses a small piece of the new approach to measuring the universe, and even mentions now they are ready to measure another piece of it. Maybe the point of this is, mostly they have a new way to measure.
The "how big is this universe" answer to the question is relative to only what we "know", or think we "know" by whatever means. And additionally, there are other "thoughts" by some on the question. But, for us and the question, we should depend upon the reality of "known science" (which is quite thin), for physical basis.
Of course the size is in light years (LYs) distance, and billions of them. About 13.5 billion LYs/radius give or take a few trillion, equals 27 LYs "known big", and still growing.
There is a really interesting article on this subject from NOVA that does go into some detail, and it does also apply additive factors relative to how far now visible objects have traveled since the light we see was first emitted, which in essence drastically increases the known size even farther.
