Title: X-Flares / chances of Powerful CME's - Feb 03 to Feb 07
Post by: HeywoodFloyd on February 03, 2014, 11:27:51 PM
There is a huge sunspot, facing Earth - AR 1967.
High chances of X-Flares eruptions and CME's.

(X-Flare chances estimated at 50% by SpaceWeather).

If CME's are produced by solar flares, they would arrive directly to Earth.

Wider than the planet Jupiter and its primary dark cores are big enough to swallow Earth many times over.
AR1967 has a 'delta-class' magnetic field that harbors energy for strong eruptions.

The growing complexity of the region has prompted NOAA forecasters to boost the odds of X-flares to 50% during the next 24 hours.
Because AR1967 is near the center of the solar disk, any eruptions will be squarely Earth directed.

YEP, looks like we are looking right down into the working end of the barrel on that "high powered shooting gun"!!

Hopefully in its more calm state, maybe it won't fire of any shots!!

Thanks for posting HeyWoodFloyd11 :)

But, I think the big reason for the misses are, they usually are not pointed in our direction. Right now (when this pic of the Sun was taken) it is pointed right at us!!

EXACTLY !

if it shoots, the CME arrives directly here.
and that Sunspot - AR 1967 - is huge.

very, very rarely SpaceWeather puts X-Flare chances at 50%.
( by the way, just a few hours ago there was an M5 )

anything can happen: a Carrington Event (1859) or... nothing.

Perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to mock Ed Dames!

And not fearmongering but what was up with the message at the superbowl.

They were telling us to PREPARE!  Prepare for what??

They began with the second set of lyrics, modified to the following:

Oh, every time I close my eyes

I see my name in shining lights

Yeah, a different city every night

Oh, I swear the world better prepare, prepare, prepare.

As they sang the word "prepare," the digital backdrop image changed from the American flag to the word "prepare" in large red letters, as shown here

as I wrote above, anything could happen:

a Killshot, or nothing.

and, by the way, no scientist on Earth has a pale idea of how the Sun really works.

only thing which is certain, is that the Sun DOES NOT work like they think.

it is Plasma Physics and Torsion Physics at work, here.
