Title: A Very Broad Learning Experience For Us, As Wolves Change Yellowstone Park
Post by: rdunk on March 15, 2014, 10:11:31 PM
Some of you may have seen this video, but, there is a huge learning experience for us to be taken from the overall message of what is presented here. Just putting Wolves back into Yellowstone Park - not a big deal! But, the results are beyond "big deal", and beyond general expectation in so many ways.

For me, this brings recognition awareness for us, as we look for ways to make things better on this planet, that all things are tied together, and are symbiotic in ways we often cannot begin to imagine! And that fact my friends makes for a much greater challenge, as we seek to continue to "make everything better"!!

Reintroducing wolves to Rocky Mountain National Park has been proposed.  Currently, the elk population has to be thinned by hunting to avoid overgrazing.  I haven't watched the video yet, but I will.  I did a speech on the role of wolves in the ecosystem back in my college speech class.

Thanks for your comments. I was simply amazed in my viewing of this. It is such a simple small change, but the broadness of its impact is enormous, and that is in a relatively short time..

With this in mind, just think about what the clearing of the rain forests could have/is having on the various systems of this planet.  That could be unthinkably huge!!   :o
