China is developing their own Kylin OS and their own microprocessor chips - different from the West. I see a continuing underestimation of their work and goals. Consider where this may be headed:
The NSA compromises Microsoft and chip/computer companies. The Chinese develop their own systems that may be relatively hackproof. In any coming cyber war, they emerge as victors and the NSA has created a disaster by compromising everyone else's system as Snowden has exposed. - allowing China to exploit the weaknesses.
While US leaders keep being distracted by what Russia does, the Chinese keep working and building. It starts to look like a "good cop, bad cop" ploy. The days of US dominance are numbered.
