Yellowstone's Volcano Bigger Than Thought(http://i.livescience.com/images/i/000/039/153/i02/yellowstone-magma-pocket.jpg)
QuoteSALT LAKE CITY — Yellowstone's underground volcanic plumbing is bigger and better connected than scientists thought, researchers reported here today (April 17) at the Seismological Society of America's annual meeting.
"We are getting a much better understanding of the volcanic system of Yellowstone," said Jamie Farrell, a seismology graduate student at the University of Utah. "The magma reservoir is at least 50 percent larger than previously imaged."
Knowing the volume of molten magma beneath Yellowstone is important for estimating the size of future eruptions, Farrell told OurAmazingPlanet.

Surprising Activity Discovered at Yellowstone Supervolcano
Sara Goudarzi | March 14, 2007(http://i.livescience.com/images/i/000/001/273/i02/070306_jackson_hole_02.jpg)
QuoteSupervolcanoes can sleep for centuries or millennia before producing incredibly massive eruptions that can drop ash across an entire continent. One of the largest supervolcanoes in the world lies beneath Yellowstone National Park, which spans parts of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.
Though the Yellowstone system is active and expected to eventually blow its top, scientists don't think it will erupt any time soon.
Yet significant activity continues beneath the surface. And the activity has been increasing lately, scientists have discovered. In addition, the nearby Teton Range, in a total surprise, is getting shorter

Drilling in Greater Yellowstone: Massive outcry erupts over well pads in wildlife areas(http://ak.picdn.net/shutterstock/videos/4328183/preview/stock-footage-silhouette-of-oil-well-pump-jack-moves-up-and-down-in-front-of-bright-sun-in-yellowstone-national.jpg)
QuoteA proposed 136-well natural gas development in the beloved greater Yellowstone ecosystem south of Jackson, Wyo., has become the most controversial project ever contemplated within the boundaries of the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
The plan, which our supporters recently helped protest, would allow Plains Exploration and Production Company to develop 136 natural gas wells in some of Bridger-Teton's prime wildlife habitat for moose, elk, pronghorn antelope and rare predators such as wolves, grizzly bears and lynx., The U.S. Forest Service recently issued a draft environmental analysis for the project which has been roundly criticized as harmful to air, water quality, wildlife and recreational values.
The wells would be developed using the controversial practice of hydraulic fracturing in an area designated as part of a vulnerable drinking water aquifer and in the headwaters of the Hoback River – a wild and scenic river. Project air emissions are projected to degrade the wilderness airsheds over adjacent national parks and forests; well pads and roads would bisect one of the most important big game migration crossroads in the southern Yellowstone ecosystem.

What MORONS figured that fracking at yellowstone was a good idea?
:o
::)
Animals know the matrix fabric of reality is coming apart and must try and run from it even though there is no where to go.
The end of our time is approaching.

Natural gas wells are not not necessarily fracking wells. And the reason? Money money money.
Ok let's see how many post they'll be on the end of the world or how evil oil companies are? 30? 40? Over 100? We'll be discussing it till the end if the world! Oh now wait a minute..... ::) ;)
I just don't see the buffalo hauling ass out as a good sign... and hopefully they are not stupid enough to frack around a super-volcano...
but that is an oxymoronic statement, isn't it?

I suppose this is not a normal migration.
Did anyone check? :)
Yellowstone is currently overdue from exploding. It really should have gone off years ago. The land has been rising at a quickened rate. The Bison will have to run very far to get away from this one. Hundreds of miles. I thought it was going to blow off about 4 years ago. I was wrong. But nothing can stop it. It really is not a question if it will, just a question of when.
It is also a very good reason for all of the Ghost cities in China. They are making room for you all. If it goes at least 1/3 of the states will be returned to Mother Nature. Maybe even sink Texas back down to under sea level. Anyone within say 700 miles of the place should keep a bag packed near the door. Less than 100 miles. forget it, you just might be Yellostone toast. When it goes it will be felt around the world. It will be that big. If anyone catches military bases within 500 miles moving this week then they know something. Or it could be just another hic-cup and settle down for more years.
Deuem
Well lets hope :D But California had a 5.a today with minor damage and A51 is feeling shaking under Mt Hood up in Oregon
Just is case... go reserve us a nice spot in one of those Ghost Cites :D

Perhaps those strange "underground noises" that people have been hearing over the last few months. The lava carving out new channels and collapsing unstable caverns on its way.
I know this might sound silly but I would advise everyone to get a passport. If Yellowstone does go, the passport will be worth its weight in gold. Everyone else will be stuck in lines for weeks yet you would just get on a plane and go. The rest get caught in the dust and lava. This thing will eventualy blow. The rockies on one side all the way to the missisippi. It will split the states in half. I am not screaming the sky is falling, only consern is that you should be ready to move at a moments notice if it does blow. From what I have read it is almost 20,000 years overdue to pop. Just be ready if it does.
I would not put Yellowstone on my list of places to visit.

Yea it is one of natures best. The movie 2012 depicked it pretty well and what it would look like if it went up in smoke. Just the yellowstone part, not the whole movie. Didn't the land rise about 4 inches last year?
Hey, do you know where the Bisin went? Or were they just off on a trip to better feeding grounds?

If it goes BOOM I doubt I will have time to pack so I will hope that it blows east like Mt St Helen did :D
QuoteHey, do you know where the Bisin went? Or were they just off on a trip to better feeding grounds?
No idea but no animals died in the Sumatra Tsunami... they arr ran away uphill (save one trapped rabbit) The elephants broke away from their handlers and stampeded away leaving the trainers scratching their heads... Several minutes late half those trainers died
So maybe they were just out hiking down the road :P but if animals are running one way I think I will turn and go that way too... just in case :D

Yes, I was jesting. If Yellowstone blows I'll be gate crashing the Canadian border if I survive the initial Boom.
This is the last day for the united states of america. the giant ash cloud created by this super volcano will first envelope vegas, then st louise, chicago and at long last, washington dc will have its lights go out
I have goose bumps people!

I wonder if we have to worry. The USGA said it would be another 90,000 years. If you look at what they wrote it has erupted 3 times before and the time is getting shorter not longer. The 90,000 years is from an average not a sliding scale of presure building up. First time between 800,000 years, 2nd 660,000 years. Next time they say 700,000 years which is 90,000 years from now. I would think this is a wrong way of looking at it and should be more like 400,000 years ago which would make it late and very angry.
Bottom line is if it pops the states are in big trouble. Again I urge all to have a passport. It could be worth its weight in Gold if you had to leave the US for this reason or anyother one. There is no gloom and doom in that statement, just conserned of others.

From the range to your plate in 45 minutes."Shoot-your-own-dinner" sporting trips are the latest rage in Hollywood.
Always thinking, doing, maximizing profits from every angle, media mogul Ted Turner has again set the bar even higher in the 'unique dinners' niche.
There are those who rave about Dining in the Dark (http://sf.darkdining.com/), but nothing beats the adrenalin blast from sending a .700 Nitro Express 1,000 meters downrange and seeing your dinner exploding into an iridescent red mist cloud!

The Turner bison herd across 14 ranches is approximately 55,000 bison, which is the largest private herd in the world.Of course, the true aficionado leaps into action, draws his knife, scampers quickly to the still-quivering carcass and severs the throat, slurping the salty warm blood; alas, a tradition somewhat lacking in many of the finer restaurants in 'the city.' :P
The
Turner Mobile Hunting Lodge® has an on-board kitchen to prepare your truly-fresh kill to one's unique satisfaction.

While we're waiting for what's left of our bison to be prepared, we will share these pictures from the Annual Spring Hog Hunt on Ron Schmidt's exclusive mountain top/subterrainean estate in Nevada...so exclusive that we can't even mention the nearest town or we'd have to kill ourselves. :P We do know it's EMP hardened and has a back door to "Lake Thresher." :P

Veerrrry tasty! Especially the pickled snout in the Waterford crystal Ron sent the hunt participant's for Holiday remembrances.

Yellowstone Volcano Eruption Effects: Entire World Would be at Risk if Supervolcano Erupts
Well, this is not all new information, but it is an August 1, 2014 news article. In this article, which has the diagram that has been posted in this thread more than once, it does say, "The Yellowstone-size eruption will occur. Of course, we have no idea when. It's being monitored very, very closely. So there is no chance of it occurring without any warning. But it's a devastating event".
It also says, Yellowstone erupted about 640,00 years ago, as well as 1.3 million and 2.1 million years ago. These are the large eruptions. Note that the next to last big one occurred at 800,000 years after the prior one, and from the last one we now are now 640,000 years into the next one! So, time-wise we are at 80% of the most recent known time frame for this "blowout". Of course, we and many coming generations will likely pass before the next one, but then, this thing could go at any time couldn't it.

i think there were pics a few months back.just about every conspiracy board was making threads.of corse olbummer made deals with australia and argentina to move americans there in an emergency.mass migration.thats why the open boarder and being nice to the immigrants.insurance.
plus the more open land down there, the better our chances of survivle later.we will lose alot of natural resorces if it blows.the worlds supply of wood products.so call it carbon tax to get south america to grow trees and wildlife/potential food ,lol.
mass migration on a global scale.plus basically death for anybody in canada and russia unless they get out in the first week.car air filters will be stopped up after that and then no way out.all filters in all industries which means no power in a month.even nuke plants will shut down.then freeze and nuclear meltdown,
then acceleration of death for all of northern hemisphere .
the poor wont make it out.
the moment it starts, you have two days.on the third it will be full blown panic and banks will close.the plastic cards will be useless and so will cash.gasoline runs supreme, air filters will be next in value.reusable wash out types will be like gold.
