The ISS At Night Is As Terrifying As Any Horror Film

Turns Out Space Can Be As Scary As You Thought.

ESA Astronaut Alexander Gerst has captured some truly haunting images of the International Space Station

ESA Astronaut Alexander Gerst has captured some truly haunting images of the International Space Station at 'night', or rather, when the astronauts go to sleep.

Turns out that even astronauts need to sleep -- and when they do, the station goes dark. All that's left is the emergency lighting and control panels to keep you company, that and a few empty space suits.

The fascinating photos also help to convey just how large the space station actually is with modules stretching off into the darkness.
