Police were called out to supermarkets across the country as Black Friday shoppers clashed over bargains.
Regions where trouble erupted in the aisles:
Greater Manchester: Police called to seven Tesco stores, three arrests were made across the region
London: Police were called to three Tesco branches in Edmonton, Willesden and Surrey Quays and an Asda branch in Edgware
South Wales: Officers received a number of calls from staff at Tesco stores after they became "concerned due to the volume of people who had turned up to sale events" and were twice called to a Tesco branch in
Cardiff over concerns about "customer conduct"
Scotland: Police were called to Tesco branches in Dundee and Silverburn in Glasgow which both closed for a period as people clashed over discounted goods
West Yorkshire: Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the Tesco store in Batley, near Leeds

Ah.. well I assume you do not have Walmart over in Portugal 8)
Most of the worst videos about Black Friday happen at Walmart (and similar lower cast stores) so I included an expose of your typical Walmart shopper as a buffer for the actions shown in the madness videos
Hope that helps 8)
I do find it interesting that the UK has Black Friday as Thanksgiving is an AMERICAN holiday... a lie but purely American :P
So why are they going nuts in London too?
Oh wait!
Walmart buys up ASDA
Asda was acquired by Walmart, and in recent years, has grown to become Britain's second largest supermarket.http://corporate.walmart.com/our-story/locations/united-kingdom
But no need to feel left out ArMaP I am SURE they will come to a town near YOU soon enough :P
Black Friday em PortugalThe Black Friday in Portugal is a "commercial" event promoted by many stores for unusual discounts in order to encourage consumption.
Too often, the Black Friday in the United States is also synonymous with confusion. Finding the best deals, some do everything to grab as much product discount. Therefore it is necessary to know how to survive the Black Friday .

yes, Black Friday is a symbol of suicidal human degeneracy; but let's be honest. The very reason why most of us enjoy watching it, is so that we can look down on the people who engage in it, and feel morally superior to them. When I do that, I need to remind myself that I am really no better than they are.
There is also something else that I wish you would understand, Zorgon. The main reason why any of us complain about/rail against authority, is because said authority is unjust. It is brutal, it is cruel, and it is tyrannical. To cite an example from Rome, no one complained when a philosopher king like Marcus Aurelius wore the laurels. To cite another, more recent yet fictitious example, how many do you think would be confident in ceding authority to Jean Luc Picard? I know I would.
There is no integrity in contemporary politics; and despite what their apologists insist, there is also precious little among the police. Senior politicians these days can scarcely be called human, in terms of their levels of barbarity and self-interest.
Larken Rose, an author within the sovereignty movement, has written a book about how she thinks third party authority in general is an entirely fictitious and illegitimate concept. Yet based on your own observations of human nature under your own authority, I ask you; who would write such books if we truly had good rulers?
I have read parts of the Mahabharata, including its' warnings about what happens to a society when the king does not protect. You probably know about the Hindu theory of the four Yugas, or ages. The scripture says that regardless of which age the world is currently in, it is the king who sets it, and can change it to a more positive one, in terms of the practical conditions. Yet instead of Marcus Aurelius, we have the likes of Stephen Harper and David Cameron; psychopaths from the pit.
The veterans here need to cease making apologies and excuses for those who have demonstrated, by their own inhuman behaviour, that they deserve none. If we have truly just police, military, and government, then you will not need to apologise for them, and no one will object to them, either.

I don't think that's relevant, as I never saw people dressed like that on Black Friday images, and I don't think that the freedom of choosing how to dress in a store that, apparently, doesn't have a "dress code" has any relation to "removing the control".
QuoteBut no need to feel left out ArMaP I am SURE they will come to a town near YOU soon enough :P
I remember hearing Black Friday commercials on the radio in other years, but this year I haven't heard any. And yes, some stores use that as another excuse to make some promotions, but I don't think it works, as there's nothing to link it to, like with Halloween, that also has very little impact on sales here, even if we get some kids in costumes (but only a handful instead of the dozens we get on Carnival).

Well some of us view it in disgust a sign that hu-mons, despite all our technology and other advances are really no more than animals. You may be like them, but I consider myself evolved beyond such behavior. IF some of us cannot rise above the base instincts to stampeded then the hu-mon race is doomed.
In my opinion THIS is the reason a program like TAP is doomed to failure.
QuoteThere is also something else that I wish you would understand, Zorgon. The main reason why any of us complain about/rail against authority, is because said authority is unjust. It is brutal, it is cruel, and it is tyrannical.
You are a believer in the Law of Attraction... has it ever occurred to you that you attract what you seek? In my case I have only run into unjust authority three times. Each time I got justice by pursuing it and I could have pursued it further but chose to accept the apology. Then last month I had to go to DHS to get our green cards renewed.... it was interesting the way the front door gaurds behaved but in the end the manager inside was super friendly and he got us sorted in record time... his whole staff apologizing continuously for the delays. He even made jokes.
So what YOU need to understand is that not everyone has the same experience or opinion of authority as you do
QuoteTo cite an example from Rome, no one complained when a philosopher king like Marcus Aurelius wore the laurels. To cite another, more recent yet fictitious example, how many do you think would be confident in ceding authority to Jean Luc Picard? I know I would.
I don't live in Rome but as I have said all along hu-mons in general NEED a leader... they will follow whoever talks the talk... Once they find out that the talk and the reality are not the same, they usually tend to over throw that leader... but ONLY when someone new comes along and talks a better game. Until that happens they will grumble and moan but still follow the first guy.
Jean Luc Picard was a Borg for awhile... he wanted to assimilate you :P Did they follow him then?
I can do better examples. In our microcosm of the Medieval world... I became King not because I was anything special, but because I talked a better game and was willing to do the work. People that were fed up with other leaders saw what we were building and flocked to us.
You can argue all you want that "yeah but its only a game" but the truth is the same principles and motivation apply to ALL hu-mon endeavors.
There will ALWAYS be sheep.... there will ALWAYS be dogs to keep the sheep in line and there will ALWAYS be Shepherds.... the thing the sheep need to learn is WHICH Shepherd is the wise one and which is the one. Just also bear in mind that even a good shepherd needs to Fleece his sheep and their will ALWAYS be Wolves to pray on the sheep that fall off the path and there will ALWAYS be Rams... they only want to F... all the sheep
QuoteThere is no integrity in contemporary politics; and despite what their apologists insist, there is also precious little among the police. Senior politicians these days can scarcely be called human, in terms of their levels of barbarity and self-interest.
This is so because 1) the sheep allow it to happen and 2) because there is no good shepherd willing to step up to the plate
QuoteLarken Rose, an author within the sovereignty movement, has written a book about how she thinks third party authority in general is an entirely fictitious and illegitimate concept. Yet based on your own observations of human nature under your own authority, I ask you; who would write such books if we truly had good rulers?
People will write all sorts of books.. as you stated she 'thinks' Back in Ancient Greece many thinkers also wrote books until some thug came and burnt them all. Books are written to share ideas and sometimes plant the seeds of change. In our own recent history we had another such book burner and in our schools Fahrenheit 451 was required reading in my day
But just because it is written in a book does not make it true... it is still only that author's opinion.
Based on my observations of human nature under my own "authority" what I found was that the SIZE of the group under you is the deciding factor. The larger the group gets, the more chance you have of it all falling apart. This is because opinions and egos of others infiltrate and want to make changes. The core group who was comfortable with what you offered will rebel against the newcomers. In the end the group will splinter as the new comers gather some support and think they can do better on their own
QuoteI have read parts of the Mahabharata, including its' warnings about what happens to a society when the king does not protect. You probably know about the Hindu theory of the four Yugas, or ages. Yet instead of Marcus Aurelius, we have the likes of Stephen Harper and David Cameron; psychopaths from the pit.
Well a good example of a good king was Darius in Persepolis. It was a Utopia the people forgot how to protect themselves as there was no need to. Then along comes Alexander the Great... burns the city and let's his troops loot the city.
The Dark Side has always lured many sheep to follow. Hitler managed to persuade Germans and Austrians that he was the world's savior and despite the warning signs, people ignored it and jumped on his band wagon.
Marcus was also popular... His early rule was loved by the people Wiki says "Marcus' early reign proceeded smoothly. Marcus was able to give himself wholly to philosophy and the pursuit of popular affection.[167] Soon, however, Marcus would find he had many anxieties. It would mean the end of the felicitas temporum ("happy times") that the coinage of 161 had so glibly proclaimed."
So what we have EVERY TIME is people who are gifted orators that can TALK a good game and people want to follow someone that promises "happy times". It is usually to late by the time the true nature comes out. Don't forget too that Rome at the time had enemies and terrorists on the doorstep. Those Germanic Hoards were Romes Al-Quida
QuoteThe veterans here need to cease making apologies and excuses for those who have demonstrated, by their own inhuman behaviour, that they deserve none. If we have truly just police, military, and government, then you will not need to apologise for them, and no one will object to them, either.
Vets are people that followed orders and fought so people like YOU could be free to protest and complain :P Are all wars just? Hell no just need to look at Vietnam...
Do we need soldiers? Well heck lets disband the armed forces and call up Putin and say "He bro... come on over... doors are wide open"
Until the hu-mon race can live at peace with each other, we need the soldiers. In my microcosm I have seen how fast egos want to destroy what someone else has built and ours fell apart when I personally could not keep the group tightly focused. I could fix it even now by throwing money at it but that would mean I need to collect 'taxes' :P or find an outside source of gold
Empires rise and Empires fall The American Empires is on the verge of its Decline and Fall. Most likely I won't be around to see the final death blows...

I've spent years wondering why my Boss who doesn't come across as the sharpest tool in the box is a millionaire.. and honestly it is because of the above to a large degree. In his case, it was about "DOING IT, rather than theorizing it." Seize the day as they say.
The Walmart pics/video's are very illustrative of where we are in general on Earth. Those same people will be bitching and whining about why they are nearly dead yet won't take any course of action to change one thing :P
