This type of craft is an E.H.D. Flying Saucer (http://jnaudin.free.fr/html/ehdfsv3.htm). The E.H.D. stands for Electro-Hydro-Dynamic. My personal designation for it is the
Adamski Class saucer, and this is because of its' resemblance to the design described by U.F.O. contactee, George Adamski. In flight at high speed, a craft of this type can be quite visually spectacular; as a result, I am inclined to feel some affection towards it. It is, more than many others, the traditional Unidentified Flying Object.

These vehicles operate by using large amounts of electricity to generate their own localised electro-magnetic field, around the perimeter of the craft. It is a requirement of the craft for it to have that specific shape. A saucer is aerodynamic in its' own way, just as planes are. It is simply that different principles are involved; electricity rather than air. As Naudin states, the process is documented.

Lift, acceleration, and turning are accomplished by manipulating said field in the desired way. I do not completely understand the process, but it seems to involve modifying the nature of the electrical charge, within a specific section of the field.

This photograph from one of Naudin's recreations, seems to corroborate some of A51Watcher's photos. The arcing effect in low light is consistent with the saucer's operation, and would be an expected element of a sighting in the proper conditions.
Unidentified no more, perhaps; other than the nationality of its' occupants.
