Raymond Ibrahim reported: A man was kneeling in prayer before the statue of the revered Madonna, with the photograph of a loved one in hand, in the small chapel of St. Barnabas in Perugia (Italy), when he was attacked by five "immigrants."
The first thing they did was rip the photo from his hands.
Next they unleashed their hatred against the image of the Virgin Mary. They broke the statue to pieces and then urinated on it.
Don Scarda, pastor of St. Barnabas, said the event was led by five "foreigners." By the time police arrived at the chapel, the unidentified attackers had already fled.
The incident has caused a stir among locals. Some have lambasted Pope Francis who is accused of appeasing immigrants—mostly Muslims—to wild extremes. Earlier he had said that "Migrants, through their own humanity, cultural values, expand the sense of human brotherhood."
Although the Diocese condemned the act of sacrilege against the Madonna statue, it also followed the Pope's lead by absolving Islam of any responsibility for what happened.
Muslim immigrants have been a huge problem in Italy. At least 35% of Italian prison inmates come from Muslim-majority countries, and one in four prisons has a prayer area set aside for them. According to Pew Research, Italians are more critical toward Muslims compared to other European nations – 63 percent of the population holds unfavorable views of the Muslim population... I wonder why?

"Horrific": church attacked, desecrated in Rome violence
The Vatican has condemned Saturday's violent clashes in central Rome including an attack by protesters on a church in which a crucifix and a statue of the Virgin Mary were destroyed.
Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi said he "condemned the violence and the fact that a church was desecrated by some protesters who broke in and destroyed some images." He referred to the clashes in Rome as "horrific."
The 18th-century church of Santi Marcellino and Pietro is near St John Lateran square where much of Saturday's violence occurred.
"When I came down, I saw the entrance door had been smashed in," the church's parish priest, Father Giuseppe Ciucci, was quoted by Italian media as saying.
"The Virgin Mary's statue, which was at the entrance, had been taken away and I saw it had been thrown into the street and smashed," he said.
"I went into the sacristy and I saw the door there was also destroyed. The large crucifix at the entrance had been vandalized," he added

I suspect that a lot of these incidents might be the work of agent provocateur. They are being used to foment backing for a war most likely.
