The Creator of This Amazing Internet Privacy Device Has Been Silenced: "Effective Immediately We Are Halting Further Development" (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/this-crypto-device-was-going-to-change-privacy-on-the-web-but-its-creator-has-been-silenced-by-the-government-effective-immediately-we-are-halting-further-development_07182015)

Data collection and invasive monitoring of American citizens has been at the forefront of government activities (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/twenty-trillion-phone-calls-theyve-been-collecting-data-about-all-domestic-calls-since-october-2001_06102013) for decades. After revelations by Edward Snowden in recent years, the fringe conspiracy theorists who warned of Big Brother surveillance (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/main-core-a-list-of-millions-of-americans-that-will-be-subject-to-detention-during-martial-law_06112013) and had been laughed at by the general population were finally proven right.

But despite the literal hundreds of thousands of pages of information about government snooping and the Congressional "investigations" that followed, nothing has been done to curb the unabated violations of Americans' Constitutional rights to be secure in their homes and personal effects.

Thus, as always, the free market began developing its own solutions. Earlier this year an inventor by the name of Benjamin Caudill announced a device he dubbed the ProxyHam which was going to literally change everything about how those concerned with privacy could connect to the internet:

Quote"I PRESENT PROXYHAM, A HARDWARE DEVICE WHICH UTILIZES BOTH WIFI AND THE 900MHZ BAND TO ACT AS A HARDWARE PROXY, ROUTING LOCAL TRAFFIC THROUGH A FAR-OFF WIRELESS NETWORK – AND SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASING THE DIFFICULTY IN IDENTIFYING THE TRUE SOURCE OF THE TRAFFIC. IN ADDITION TO A DEMONSTRATION OF THE DEVICE ITSELF, FULL HARDWARE SCHEMATICS AND CODE WILL BE MADE FREELY AVAILABLE."

Rhino Security Labs (http://www.rhinosecuritylabs.com) via HackRead (https://www.hackread.com/proxyham-device-to-anonymously-access-wi-fi/)

What Caudill had built is a device that would mix up your personal WIFI signal in such a way that no one, not even the National Security Agency, could track down where it originated.

That, of course, is not something the government wants in the hands of ordinary citizens, and the events of the last week show exactly how dangerous of a device this is to the Big Brother Surveillance State.
Just hours before Caudill was to reveal a fully-functioning ProxyHam at the DefCon hacking conference his presentation was abruptly cancelled. No reason was given and Caudill posted several cryptic Tweets (https://twitter.com/RhinoSecurity) that left many baffled.

The device had been disappeared, the company was cancelling production on retail units, and the source code and blueprints would no longer be released to the public.

Some have suggested that a private business approached Caudill before the conference and made him an offer for retail distribution.

But the more likely scenario, given what we're privy to about the device and the government's incessant need to know everything about everyone, is that someone made Caudill an offer he couldn't refuse.

Hackread explains (https://www.hackread.com/proxyham-anonymous-wifi-device-gone/):
There's another possibility of this sudden cancellation i.e. intrusion by the government. Maybe that is the reason why Caudill is not discussing the reason behind this halt. Even though the security firm was "excited" to unveil ProxyHam at Def Con.

Steve Ragan of CSO Online said:

Quote"IT WOULD LOOK AS IF A HIGHER POWER – NAMELY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT – HAS PUT THEIR FOOT DOWN AND KILLED THIS TALK [...] IT ISN'T PERFECT, BUT A TOOL LIKE PROXYHAM – WHEN COMBINED WITH TOR OR OTHER VPN SERVICES, WOULD BE POWERFUL."

Incidents like this give us clear insight into what the goals of government surveillance are. As we noted in 2011, well before the Snowden revelations, everything we do is monitored (https://www.hackread.com/proxyham-anonymous-wifi-device-gone/).

They want to know everything. They want to monitor everyone. And they will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals.
But despite these obvious attempts to maintain tight, centralized control over the populace, the hacking community has never been one to just sit back and take it from the tyrants in charge.

John McAfee, known for creating one of the first virus security programs for computers, has also been working on a new gadget that would create a "dark web" of interconnected devices designed to shield individuals from government monitoring (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/dark-web-rising-mcafee-founder-to-launch-new-nsa-killer-privacy-device_10032013).

The device, according to McAfee would cost less than $100.

The cat is out of the bag with the ProxyHam and its abilities. It shouldn't be long before source codes and blueprints for similar gadgets begin appearing on the open market.

The government can push all it wants. Freedom loving people will always push back.

FOR THE RECORD:

Hackers Remotely Kill a Jeep on the Highway—With Me in It | WIRED (http://www.wired.com/2015/07/hackers-remotely-kill-jeep-highway/)

I WAS DRIVING 70 mph on the edge of downtown St. Louis when the exploit began to take hold.

Though I hadn't touched the dashboard, the vents in the Jeep Cherokee started blasting cold air at the maximum setting, chilling the sweat on my back through the in-seat climate control system. Next the radio switched to the local hip hop station and began blaring Skee-lo at full volume. I spun the control knob left and hit the power button, to no avail. Then the windshield wipers turned on, and wiper fluid blurred the glass.

[snip]
Aside from wireless hacks used by thieves to open car doors (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/16/style/keeping-your-car-safe-from-electronic-thieves.html?_r=0), only one malicious car-hacking attack has been documented: In 2010 a disgruntled employee in Austin, Texas, used a remote shutdown system meant for enforcing timely car payments to brick more than 100 vehicles (http://www.wired.com/2010/03/hacker-bricks-cars/).

But the opportunities for real-world car hacking have only grown, as automakers add wireless connections to vehicles' internal networks.

Uconnect is just one of a dozen telematics systems, including GM Onstar, Lexus Enform, Toyota Safety Connect, Hyundai Bluelink, and Infiniti Connection.

Internet at Gunpoint: Chinese Forces Stationed at Website Firms to "Quickly Respond to Online Crimes" (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/internet-at-gunpoint-chinese-forces-stationed-at-website-firms-to-quickly-respond-to-online-crimes_08062015)

As if the land of the Great Chinese Firewall didn't have enough of an tight grip on the Internet with its strict censorship and zero tolerance policy for offensive postings, police will now be physically stationed at top online companies and ISPs to guard against online speech "crimes".

Not to be outdone by its already glorious police state (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ0WVNrdWU0), the government incredibly now intends to place actual Thought Police on the scene to respond in real time to alleged cyberthreats and terms of service violations from inside the offices and operations of top companies, paving the way for adoption of these methods in Western nations as well.

An iron curtain of global censorship system can then use people's words to enslave and imprison them. PC World reports (http://www.pcworld.com/article/2957092/china-to-plant-internet-police-in-top-online-firms.html):

China's control over the Internet is set to expand. In a bid to better police local websites, the country's security forces are establishing offices at the biggest online firms in the country.
[...]
The ministry's plan... will place China's security forces at the offices of the country's major websites, so that they can quickly respond to suspected online crimes.
[...]
"The law will effectively put China's Internet companies, and hundreds of millions of Internet users, under greater state control," the group said in an email.
[...]
Websites based in China already have to abide by strict provisions for online censorship, and will often delete any content deemed offensive by government censors.

(from the anthem below)

This, by the way, is also commonplace in the United States and Britain. Websites have been taken to court, or simply intimidated by Secret Service agents into turning over IP addresses and data logged by visitors who've been accused of making threatening or illegal comments.

The Wall Street Journal dubbed (http://www.wsj.com/articles/china-to-embed-internet-police-in-tech-firms-1438755985) it 'unusually hands-on' since threatening companies to comply withe censorship policies has typically worked so far:

It is an unusually hands-on approach by Beijing, which typically sets censorship standards and puts the onus on companies to comply. China's Internet regulator has previously favored tactics such as threatening to shut down services that didn't meet censorship requirements.

It is only a matter of time before these other draconian policies find their way into "free countries."

"Cyber attacks, the online spread of terrorist information, Internet fraud, and the stealing of personal information," were among the biggest threats the ministry named.

In addition, authorities want to crack down on online rumor mongering, pornography, gambling and drug-related Internet activities.

(from the anthem below)

Thus reads the list of freedoms curtailed for your safety – and a must do list for stifling any remaining freedom of speech. China is on it, and so are the spy agencies in America and Europe (http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/more-surveillance-and-a-euro-patriot-act-france-just-passed-new-regulations-in-november-now-more-will-be-necessary_01152015).

This over-the-top policy is part of a new package of online surveillance that also includes harsher laws, stricter vetting and inspection of products sold online, and mandatory "real name" registration of Internet users – a policy that the likes of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg have long since touted (http://time.com/3943322/facebook-real-name-policy-mark-zuckerberg/).

China is so serious about its online censorship endeavor, that is has developed an anthem to promote the agency in charge. Check out the spirit of freedom evident in its grandiose and stoic lyrics:

China's Internet Censorship Agency Has Its Own Anthem And We Translated It - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbBKPqOh6DU)

Alibaba Group, Baidu and Tencent are among the biggest and best known web companies in China – firms which can now expect to be partnered with an unsolicited censorship police force.

Big Brother surveillance has never been more literal.

As scary as all of this looks, from my perspective it can be reduced down to a single problem.

The majority continue to assume good faith in government and corporations.  Said majority do this, regardless of said governments' and corporations' actions.

The only thing that needs to happen to change this, is for said majority to make the fundamental realisation that organisations like the NSA are not run by good people.  Note, here, that I am not advocating that said majority then engage in a bloody purge of the NSA, because that is entirely unnecessary.  The only reason why the NSA continue to have power, is because the majority assume that the NSA having power, is within their own best interests.

The central problem is the continued assumption of good faith, in organisations which have repeatedly proven that they do not deserve it.  Remove said assumption, and the organisation's power will vanish.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpL6Fwu0wkw

Understand something else; and this is not intended as a criticism, but as a means of empowerment.  When we read threads like this, or articles talking about all the scary stuff that the NSA is doing, we ourselves create a box within the otherwise absolute void of astral space.  While I am not going to go into specific examples of how, I know, from direct personal experience, that thoughts and energy are real things.  I also know that I've written a lot here which implies that I do not have that knowledge, but the only reason why I've made said posts is because fear has temporarily got the best of me, which is exactly what they want.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGZiLMGdCE0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGZiLMGdCE0

You and I literally have our own astral versions of the Construct from that film.  In Hinduism it is called the Chittakasha; the rishis knew all about it.  What the NSA want you to do, is to create an assumption program within your own construct, that they have total and complete power over you.  The reason why they want that, is because they themselves know that they can never have such complete power.  Their power lies exclusively in the perception you have of them.  They want you to think of them as omniscient magical bogeymen who know everything, see everything, and can kill you whenever they want with microwave beam weapons that can be shot through walls.

There are two layers of control, here.

a}  For the uncritical majority who assume good faith in them, keeping control is fairly easy.  For this group, ISIS are the perceived bogeyman, and the NSA are saviours, who use their information to supposedly keep said group safe from ISIS.  The majority are therefore persuaded to keep giving them legitimacy on that basis.

b}  For people like us, on the other hand, it's harder.  The NSA and such other groups know that we think of them as psychopaths, and that we will never voluntarily give them legitimacy.  Their answer, then, is to present themselves to us as the threat, rather than ISIS.  They don't give us a saviour image, because they don't want us to have one.  They need us to be scared absolutely rigid of them, because they know that in our case, that is literally the only leverage they have.

The surveillance and information gathering, in and of itself, is not the point.  Aside from anything else, to an extent the NSA still have the hard limit of manpower, in terms of the amount of information they can read.  Yes, they've got some forms of A.I., but I haven't seen anything yet which will convince me that their software agents are anywhere near human intelligence.

The real point of the surveillance, is to create the perception in your head, that they are omniscient.  That is what they want.  They want to create a perception in your mind, where you think that because they can supposedly see everything you write anyway, you should not write anything at all.  If they can persuade you to think that, then they have you where they want you.

I have recently rediscovered the secret of effective determination; and it is to make the assumption that what I want to accomplish is already done, before I even begin.  Sure, I might fail on the first attempt.  It might take years; decades even.  Yet as long as I maintain the solid belief that the accomplishment of what I want is completely certain, then I will eventually have it.

They want to add your own creative, mental power to theirs; and the way they do that is by convincing you that they have already won, and that any resistance that you might make to them is futile before you even begin.

Understand how powerless they really are.  They are pathetic.  Why do you think the NSA, the CIA, and other such groups have invested so much time and energy into studying mind control?  It is precisely because they know that no matter what, they always need your consent.  There is not one billionth of a second during which you are not sovereign.  They can kill you, waterboard you, torture you, do whatever they like; you still have a choice as to whether or not you are going to participate in their crap, and no matter what they do to you, they can not take that away from you.

They also might get your consent, but they are not getting mine.  Know that you are eternal.  Know that there ultimately isn't a damn thing that they can do to you.  All they really want is to keep you with them, and prevent you from leaving them, and that is because they are afraid.

This is only a clip.  I would encourage you to download the entire Voyager episode, The Thaw, and watch it from beginning to end.  Both the American intelligence community, and the Illuminati itself, can be seen as personified by that clown.

I agree with most of what you wrote, but I think things are not as simple.

From my direct (although not much, as I was only a kid at the time) and indirect experience of living under a fascist regime with an active political police, I think that the NSA, CIA and other entities like those are not the ones wanting "people like us" to feel scared of them, that is a political decision made by those controlling things, either the president, senate or whoever really controls things.

Also, that fear is mostly being induced indirectly, by all those fearmongering sites (and the people that blindly repeat it  :P) that present any thing done by the government as being a menace to the citizens. As I don't think all those sites are being paid by the government or run by government-related people, it looks like this may be more a case of the government using all the work done by those sites in their benefit.
