Wtf!
That looks very like the ball Thing I found some years ago in a MOC image. Cant look it up now. I am on Iphone only.
Maybe you can recall it?
I really like to compare them.
Interesting, but difficult to assess. For comparison, here is another similar MOC anomalous piece that I believe we may have discussed on Peggy in the past, except this one is clearly seemingly more shaped by design - pretty much a perfectly shaped cone, that appears to have a visible roundish opening (exhaust??) at the near point (which may be/would be the rear of whatever this is), if it is an "impactor". :)
I will find the Peggy link on this and add it here......found: http://www.thelivingmoon.com/forum/index.php?topic=2074.0

Wow those really do look similar! very interesting, I am glad someone has such a good memory.
Whatever it was it did create a nice crater. :)

Oh, and it's not a "huge crater" as they say in the video, at a resolution of 28.3 cm per pixel it's something like a 15 metres crater.
PS: the above image was taken from the JPEG2000 image available here (http://www.uahirise.org/ESP_039148_1980).
