Relative to earthquakes,............very recently seems that something "different" is happening. I am not a big earthquake guy, but just as a matter of interest, I look at the .gov earthquake website most every day, as do some of you. Occasionally, I have posted here the "at times" larger numbers of daily earthquakes around the world, because maybe the numbers were growing. Well.............today I am posting the fact of a much lesser number of earthquakes during 24 hr daily periods, as noted on the .gov website. Does a significant reduction in the number of earthquakes mean that anything special is going on?? Of course, nobody really knows, because this is a "mother nature" thing, in the natural world.
For several days I have noticed that there just are not as many earthquakes 2.5 and above occurring. I don't graph daily totals, and they do vary daily, but according to .gov data the recent past averages are 70 t0 80 per day. So, here are a few actual recent numbers I was able to get from the .gov site:
* April, May, June 2015 magnitude 2.5+ - total 6515 = average 72 per day
* Last 93 days, magnitude 2.5+ - total 6595 = average 71 per day
* Last 30 days, magnitude 2.5+ - total of 1663 = average 55 per day
* Last 7 days, Magnitude 2.5+ - total of 230 = average 32 per day
* 10/06.........................2.5+ - - total of 31
* 10/07......................... 2.5+ - - total of 34
* 10/08......................... 2.5+ - total of 21
* Past 24 hours, Magnitude 2.5+ - total of 18 = ...........18 for past 24 hours (1 day :) )
The 18 number is about 75% less than the past 3 month's daily average, and the past 7 days average of 32 per day is about a 55% reduction to the past 30 day number. So, it is clear that the number of earthquakes currently occurring are significantly reduced!
I will watch this for a while, and reply update for however the earthquake frequencies develop - may be nothing different to past happenings!! :)
And, this is what 6,500+ earthquakes look like on the world map!!

IRIS doesn't even bother recording anything below a 4.0 :P
To put it in perspective the Richter Scale is a logarithmic scale with anything below 2.0 not even felt..

AVERAGES Based on U.S. Geological Survey documents.
Less than 2.0 Micro I Microearthquakes, not felt, or felt rarely. Recorded by seismographs. Continual/several million per year
2.0–2.9 Minor I to II Felt slightly by some people. No damage to buildings. Over one million per year
3.0–3.9 II to IV Often felt by people, but very rarely causes damage. Shaking of indoor objects can be noticeable. Over 100,000 per year
4.0–4.9 Light IV to VI Noticeable shaking of indoor objects and rattling noises. Felt by most people in the affected area. Slightly felt outside. Generally causes none to minimal damage. Moderate to significant damage very unlikely. Some objects may fall off shelves or be knocked over. 10,000 to 15,000 per year
5.0–5.9 Moderate VI to VIII Can cause damage of varying severity to poorly constructed buildings. At most, none to slight damage to all other buildings. Felt by everyone. 1,000 to 1,500 per year
6.0–6.9 Strong VII to X Damage to a moderate number of well-built structures in populated areas. Earthquake-resistant structures survive with slight to moderate damage. Poorly designed structures receive moderate to severe damage. Felt in wider areas; up to hundreds of miles/kilometers from the epicenter. Strong to violent shaking in epicentral area. 100 to 150 per year
7.0–7.9 Major VIII or greater[17] Causes damage to most buildings, some to partially or completely collapse or receive severe damage. Well-designed structures are likely to receive damage. Felt across great distances with major damage mostly limited to 250 km from epicenter. 10 to 20 per year
8.0–8.9 Great Major damage to buildings, structures likely to be destroyed. Will cause moderate to heavy damage to sturdy or earthquake-resistant buildings. Damaging in large areas. Felt in extremely large regions. One per year
9.0 and greater Near or at total destruction - severe damage or collapse to all buildings. Heavy damage and shaking extends to distant locations. Permanent changes in ground topography. One per 10 to 50 years
One point to make While the West Coast of the USA completes the ring of fire, for some reason it has been relatively quiet for decades Even shows that on your graphic. Now that could be because the fault in that region is a lateral fault and not a subduction of maybe HAARP has been keeping the lid on :P

IRIS is a simple and easy to see monitor The purple is locations over the last 5 years, Yellow is past week Orange is Yesterday, Red is today. You will see west coast is very quiet.

Z said - "I guess you will have to postpone the Rapture" :P
LOL - No! The schedule of that event is simply that it will happen just prior to the start of the 7 year tribulation period. The "Church (God's people) will e raptured outta here before the start of the tribulation. So, that Rapture Flight is on the schedule, it is just that the flight plan timing is not yet specified. There won't be any "baggage charges" for this flight, as no baggage is allowed - ie all "BAGGAGE" will be left at the departure gate". Also, all of the "tickets for the Rapture Flight are initially "one-way", and there is a "book" being maintained for all who have reservations for the flight. The "Captain" for this flight is well experienced, and he is "the way". He has made this trip more than once, so we can depend upon him to get us there safely! So, the primary thing for consideration is pretty simple - the boarding pass required for this flight is only issued to those who know the Captain, who know who he is, and have accepted him as their "Captain"!
Actually, there will be a return flight of the Captain at the end of the tribulation period, and all who boarded with him on the maiden flight at the time of the Rapture will also be returning with him on that flight - may be some horseback riding during that "flight"!! :)

So... it's a COLONY SHIP then? :P
Well I will wave to you from my ship... :D
Reference OP: Update on the 24 hour totals of earthquakes 2.5+ during week of 10/10 thru 10/16 2015:
* Individual daily numbers ranged from a low of 26 to a high of 34
* 7 day number total - 221
* 7 day daily average - 31...........= a 50% reduction to April-June 2015 (simply chosen as a reference point for comparison)
* For reference, April 2015 - June 2015 daily average - 72
The daily average for earthquakes 2.5 and above for the week of Oct. 17, 2015 thru Oct 23 is......... 34.
For reference, April 2015 - June 2015 daily average was - 72 - the 50%+ reduction still in the number of these quakes still continues.
