Title: PROTEIN...
Post by: zorgon on October 29, 2015, 07:19:44 PM
"Model of a type of protein called a kinesin walking on a microtubule. Microtubules are part of the structural support network inside of a cell known as the cytoskeleton (think cell skeleton). Kinesins are known as motor proteins due to their ability to move along the microtubules. The other end of the protein can attach to various large cargo and move it from one location in the cell to another when needed. This is one of many types of transport systems inside of a cell."
