Think of this, yes we talk about aliens having the gray alien drones blablabla
But if something is alien , it truly has an alien way of thought.
Also who is to say that 300 human years are not like an alien week?
In that case the training time is irrelevant , hell we even have an Earth flag now. A fact that made me go "HMM!" more than any document-footage-witness.
Just woke up and thought of this as a possibility.
Even if i was in my 70's and the earth would be under attack I'd be yeah! strap me on to that insane cool looking fighter!
Even in WWI people were enlisting because they felt it was the right thing to do as a whole. Now what happened there , in those trenches is a whole other story.

well what with star wars yelling back at us right now.. do you really think folks would jump to fight aliens or would they ask which side was what first?
if you could convince most that the aliens were the bad guys you may be right
I may not be in my 70's yet ;D but I think I would be asking a lot of questions before fighting anyone....

who says so and prove it ...about an attack..bad/good others and a whole lot more....but then I have never run with a pack of anywho..

very sadly I have to agree that most would react that way as they have been well trained by television and movies to believe a loud mouth 'official/self proclaimed expert' and then jump without further thought or questions

I hope that, at least, the readership here are wiser and would look closer before doing anything
There will be definitely some individuals that would stand up and say "Hey, wait just a minute here!" but so long as the establishment has control of the masses it is like trying to wake people up about the NWO...some will listen, some will just think "whatever" and go back to their reality show. I think ultimately we WILL be lied to in order to get the desired results. Ender's game is a very good example of this.
