Title: Searching for a Tip on Pizza Ovens and Light Weight Refractory Cement ?
Post by: Somamech on March 01, 2012, 04:46:39 PM
For whatever reason I have become a Charcoal Cooking Nutter to the point that I have come so close to joining forum's that deal with the finest way of cooking known in this Hologram :D

And seeing we have fine souls here that are much more talented than me... I ask this question below:

How would you go about making the Franken Weber?

I have just found this site which seems awesome, but at the same time I need to go through it and see if they have Cement recipes that will replicate the light weight material needed to put a lid on on Weber per se ;)

How is this related to survival.... The Gas pipes breaks. The Electrical grid goes out and ya get sick of the survivors that whine about the lack of these comforts..

Solution:   ;D

Feed em pizza that is better than they ever had with all the modern comforts they miss and We all get to have a good time  ;D

Hahaha sure enough he is Sky of the Otter!...  but Soma here cannot do that kind of thing as a renter and would with all the wretched money scheme erased from this planet use an Earth Mound Pizza Oven... Why? Quick and easy and it works :D

MAN We got Bugs and Use any Method we Want... "Man getting Hungry or WHAT"  Got ya humour Otter LOL ;D

Sad thing is that they Don't mention that a Naked Weber without MODS does not quite get the Heat in the top of the lid for Puurfect Pizza ;)

They fail to mention any techy stuff I like yet they are *sorta* on the right track.

I've been searching for the Correct Percentages that allow me to create a mini pizza oven with a weber just like PizzaHacker.  I have visited many a BBQ forum and No-One "THAT HAS BOTHERED TO POST" has cracked this egg :D

All that said I cooked a Tom Yum Pizza and a Marg a week or two ago on my Free Weber and it was given and a few Star's from the Food Ghods :D

Being the weirdo I am.. always room for improvement though :D

Making some headway into this Build !

http://www.australianperlite.com/perlite-concrete.htm

The Key Terms for Building an Insulating Hood for a Free Weber you may be able to find on the Street are these:

Perlite
  AND Portland Cement

As for molding?  I have not done it.. so I will not comment.  Every cast is different and till One experiences the geometry of the cast then they can not say much ;)

I may just have a good excuse if i pull off this mini pizza oven to convince The Taiwanese Triad that we need a brand new Weber Performer  LOL :D

Not sure if this is Bingo, but this sounds like a start.

Ever since I cooked Pie in my Weber I've never found a Pie worthwhile, but at the same time a standard weber don't do pie as well as what i see in Pizza Hacker.

Its a personal quest to get this right... even had people at work that tried my Tom Yum Pie jizzing their pants  :P

All I need is the Pizza Hacker Replica :D
