Creating spacetime shortcuts with gravitational waveforms without exotic matter for possible FTL communication and FTL travel
A region-delimited gravitational wave field can be constructed, such that a subset of geodesics crossing this region will move faster than nearby geodesics moving entirely inside flat spacetime, along a preferred direction. Null geodesics inside this region will move faster-than-light according to far away observers. The waveform is synthesized from homogeneous plane wave solutions, and the resulting field is the gravitational equivalent of a Gaussian beam.

That would be nice!

Seems we both had posted the same topic / link Cosmo..
I had added the images to mine in the thread below..

HI Astro,
That's cool. I like to post in the general area so more people can see it. I try to search and see if the topic has already been posted also. Maybe that article points a way to FTL travel. I think it is possible. What are your thoughts on it?
Cosmo
Hi Cosmo,
I also had been posting a lot in the General discussion area for the same reasons as you..
and then I had a inclination to put some topics in what I think were the designated areas for certain threads..but maybe should add to both...
as I became aware some do not have access to certain other areas and also either i got the impression only a select few would read certain topics or few were visiting at certain times..
Sometimes I just find articles that look interesting or are related to certain topics and post them ...but d not read them... as you know how long some of them are ! :) and I dont always have time or am distracted by other things...and as I have said before..such topics as this really need me to try to concentrate to try and understand them... I can sometimes get into them... but if i get distracted again for some time.. I loose my thought processes on it until I reread parts to get back into it...its a topic that I find hard at times to try to understand even though I understand some of it o some degree..but it needs my time and concentration on certain things....
IF Area 51 or Bob Lazar topics arise I will often switch to them as they maybe are my main interest...
but I would like to understand and know more about gravity... esp anti gravity and how UFOs may work..
I would also be very interested in Time travel if I thought it was possible and worth further research..
but I probably don't have enough IQ to understand it like id like to...
when you look at some of these top scientists that all have IQs over 150..to maybe 180 or above....
I don't possess that unfortunately..
I will need to try to read the articles and get back to you to give you an answer worth while..if i can find time...
I have a ew other things im involved in that have been taking my time..lately .but I may get more time to readand catch up on the gravity time travel threads we posted recently..
another thread and link I posted that explains some Quantum basics or so it claims..
hope to speak more later..
