Yup, the US consumes 80% of all pain killers on planet earth. A secret Pentagon study suggested that 70% of young US males would be excluded from any future draft in wartime. There is massive dependency on legal drugs for chronic conditions such as diabetes, depression, pain, etc.
In addition, no one seems to make a connection between collective behavior based on distorted thinking that might be affected by mass use of psychoactive medication - not just mass shootings ( although that's bad enough) but also indebtedness, impractical student loans for educations that don't lead to a career, a dysfunctional political system and efforts to start wars everywhere. Did the Oregon protesters ask the public for snacks? Really?
If the system breaks down, I suggest that pharmaceuticals could be more valuable than gold.
