Over One Million Dog Owners Face Fines As Microchipping Becomes Law This WEEK.
This has taken me by surprise. I did not realise that they were bring it in so soon. or that it was already brought in in Ireland.
It sort of concerns me that we are now at that stage right now ! and one wonders how quickly could they attempt to bring this in to all Humans...I would think very quickly if they decided to create reasons why and It would not surprise me if they use the excuse to Microchip Children as a valid reason that many will go along with...for their child's safety reasons..
Then by the next generation before we know it..it will be law for all....
That would then seem that Nazi Germany never went away !
See how does Animal chipping compare to some other countries..
I don't think that it is as yet been brought in the USA which surprises me, although it seems they do use some form of identity tagging that I think is described as compulsary.
QuoteThe United States uses the National Animal Identification System for farm and ranch animals other than dogs and cats. In most species except horses, an external eartag is typically used in lieu of an implant microchip. Eartags with microchips or simply stamped with a visible number can be used. Both use ISO 15 digit microchip numbers with the U.S. country code of 840.

Up to 1.4 million dogs in the UK are yet to be microchipped ahead of a new law that comes into force this week.

On Wednesday, dog owners will face fines of up to £500 if they haven't microchipped their pet.
It is estimated that 1.4 million of the nation's 9 million dogs have not yet been registered as the deadline hovers into view.
The creation of a National Canine Database will ensure that microchipping is a legal requirement.
Every dog owner in the UK must register their animal, in a bid to prevent dogs being abandoned.
Under the new plan, the microchip inserted under the dog's skin will contain its owner's contact details.
Lee Paris, from the Dogs Trust, said: "Having a dog microchipped should give owners peace of mind, because all dogs have the capacity to escape, no matter how responsible the owner is. This will make it much easier to reunite worried owners with their pets."
Chihuahua leads police chase over San Francisco bridge
A Chihuahua is in animal custody after leading police on a chase across a major San Francisco bridge. After he was captured, the Chihuahua was taken to a San Francisco animal shelter where staff members named him Ponch. A spokeswoman for the city's Department of Animal Care and Control said the dog wore a tag decorated with a human skull, but he had no identification.
Microchipping has been a legal requirement in Northern Ireland since 2012, and now England, Scotland and Wales are introducing similar rules.
About 120,000 dogs are abandoned or lost in the UK each year.

It may be a good thing. Here we have so many unwanted animals especially cats so are cats included? People get them and decide they don't want them and drop them in the park. if they had been chipped we would know who abandoned them.
Hopefully there are charities that will help people who can't pay?
Funny how things can become law so sudden, here they told us we could lose our home if we don't pay a fee (tax) that suddenly was sprung from nowhere for fire in Calif. We already have insurance we must carry that covers fire but if you are in a wooded area now you pay again for us it is 117$ for many it is a bigger bill and they want it within a week of getting the bill!
I have to agree and even the animal chip could carry a lot of information about the human companions :)
I doubt the whole process will end though we see the prediction of our future in the sci fi movies!
For us the new fire tax is I an using to compare, is not even legal it was not voted on it was just put into effect and any who do not pay they tell us our homes can be taken, total loss of individual citizens in these decision processes!
I find such things incredibly disturbing...
I don't know how they get away with it when they have ways of seeming to bring such law as in on short notice or what may not have been voted on..
I know they do do certain things where there is no vote made by the public..(I think there is a name for it, but I cannot recall how its described)..
In the UK and Europe many certain laws or decisions are being made by the European Union (E.U) and not by our own Parliament / Political or or law system..

Somethings of this nature can seem very frustrating at time on certain decisions, when you have another Country deciding what your Country should or should not do..and I suspect in some cases bring them in in very short notice..and certainly no public or maybe even no Political vote..
