Upon making some phone calls recently and over the last few weeks to places like my local Banks...or some related Govt organisations..
I am noting now that you can rarely call direct to a particular department...
It seems most calls now are met with a audio menu where you have to select various options or forward to some main initial enquiry section where you have to explain to someone what you want and they decide if or not they will transfer you.
I just had a further surprise..
Last night I saw a object fly over my house that did not seem like a normal aircraft....
It seemed lower than normal and slower.. and the lighting looked different..
So I wondered could I contact my nearest airport to ask if maybe there was a department that could advise...
I have seen many an article in the news where it says that members of the public or police had contacted their local airport to ask about unusual aircraft or UFO sightings..
Upon Trying to find the phone number for the airport online.... I had a surprise to see it said that calls where only available between 9 am to 6 PM in the evening.. It used to be upto 10 pm.
This even applies to enquiries for General Flight information..
Upon trying to call... a message said that this line deals with about 3 or 4 airports....NOT just one !!!
That I thought was quite strange... talk about cutbacks and efficiency !
So I just called again this morning to General Enquiries to make further enquiries and ask what has happened.. and how long had this been the case..
I was then told that the person had to deal with other calls and I was put on hold..
I later asked a few simple questions...such as how long has this been the case and why has things changed the way they are...
I was later told that I would have to WRITE in to ask such questions !
so I queried what I was told and asked to speak with someone or some department..
After some hassel... I was eventually put thru to a General manager...who I was able to ask questions to.
I was told that generally that there had been a drop in people calling in to ask things after 6 pm... yet many flights etc are between 7 pm to Midnight inc weekends ....or were at one time.. and this has now been changed in the last 12 months..
I find that quite hard to believe that a major Airport would suggest what they said.. there seems not ONE phone number that you can call at a major airport to ask questions after 6 or 7 pm depending what department..
but maybe with the Internet today... generally the public may find what they may need online..
But you would think they would at least have one phone number for the public to call after 6 pm..
I was given a phone number to call about my sighting to the CAA.. that was not to do with the actual airport..
I was not sure if the actual main airport may have some connection or person whom one could have spoken with direct with the airports own Air Traffic control .
is it just me or does anyone else have trouble viewing the CAAs website ?

No problem viewing that site on my Android tablet.
All computers down to various reasons, including moving.
Phone and tablet only comms for now.
This sucks.

No, it was travelling from maybe closer to North / North West towards South/ South West..
It was on a path that I had rarely seen Aircraft flying over before and seemed lower than most aircraft and slower...it was a bright yellow / orange color..
It was not a chinese lantern.
I did call the CAA to enquire but the person who delt with such things was unavialable..

If you are in the middle of moving and don't have your normal computer set up it is a pain sometimes just using other devices.. (If that was what you were indicating) Hope your move goes as smooth as can be..

any sounds audible? did the object make any course changes?.. was the light steady or variable ?
was there any cloud cover , wind ,or other weather of remark ? if there was much wind was the object moving in the same direction ? what time was it ? did you experience missing time ? did you experience any unusual feeling within your brain/body ? if so what type of feelings ? did these feelings linger after the sightings ? if so for how long? physiological effects? marks on the body? peculiar, unrecognised dream states ? unsettled or disturbed sleep? any dead or mutilated animal on awakening ? if so was the blood on the sheets ?, has there been any unannounced births or pregnancy's Prior to the sighting ? was there any unusual visitor prior to the sighting ? and have you seen anything prior to this sighting that was of a similar nature, and do any of the above questions answers correlate with this sightings answers when applied to the prior sightings answers ?

I guess its harder to tell if someone's lying over the phone , best is to record it and take it down for them to see.. then they'll want to see what you've got and hopefully, if you have your sénces open , you might get a a sneak at their hand..
hopefully you'll have something benign and won't be bundled off down the dungeons

That NASA Engine video was impressive..and its good to see how the new camera compared..in showing the difference in how the engine thrust flames vary between the old and new..

That could be the case...
I think we would have to try to find some serious researchers who have approached them and see what they thought about it..and listen to their experiences.

A good friend of mine who also is an investigator, (assisted behind the scenes on locating and interviewing several of the Roswell witnesses) has been called "the ufo nut" by his father for ages, who is a pragmatic salt of the earth old school type of guy, and thinks his son is a fool for wasting his time on such matters.
Then, not long ago, things changed overnight.
He was preparing for bed about 1 am, and was in the bathroom when he noticed an odd flickering of light coming from the window, which he could not see the source of from that vantage.
He knew the next door neighbors were on vacation, and had left their teenagers home alone in charge of the house. Fearing that they had caught the house on fire, he raced down the stairs and outside into the yard.
When he got past his house and turned to see theirs, his life changed in a heartbeat.
There, "silently hovering about 50 feet over their house, was a silvery disc, projecting various colored beams down on the house, flickering and moving around".
His son interrupted at this point and asked "Oh **** did you get a picture??". His father replied "Hell NO I didn't get a picture, I was too busy ******** down both pant legs!!"
( ;D )
The craft hovered motionless for about 30 seconds there, then the beams of light went out and it fairly slowly drifted off silently (at the same height) out of the (residential) neighborhood.
He was left shaken and not knowing what to do. He went back in his house and called the police, who told him to sleep it off, and when he got mad, they told him to call the airport.
The airport told him they do not handle such matters.
The local airbase told him they do not investigate such matters, perhaps a local UFO group could help him.
He was ready to go postal at that point, but after calming down for a minute and thinking, he realized "Ah HAH!, call my son!!"
Which he did, and after relating what he saw, he lowered his voice and apologized to his son for all the years of abuse, and for not believing him as a son.
His son just replied "welcome to the club."
The next day the father canvassed the neighborhood (big ufo investigator now lol) looking for anyone else who might have seen this amazing sight.
Turned out an elderly woman across the street also saw the same thing he did, and down the block 2 different houses saw the craft leaving the neighborhood.
Oh and the kids next door?.... turned out they were there, and slept through the whole thing. ::)
