so ive brought this up in the past of why dont we start a world news agency.
well im ready,if any of yall would like to get involved on the ground floor and maybe end up creating a company along side me,heres your chance.this thread will be about that.
i plan to be just like the big networks but start out small like aj but grow fast and take all the market.
not some but all.as the world is turning its back on msm and hoping for something better, well i feel the time is ripe for this.especially now with smart tvs coming on the market.
i plan to start out with a daily 1 hour broadcast and within a year,be up to 24 hours digital broadcast worldwide web.
if we can get translators,we will have hindi ,russian and cantonese also.
with studios around the world all in sinc with the same programming.
i suspect trouble from the world govs but we are in a unique position to handle that.as the international body now controls the www.and we can get arbitration for disputes.so nobody will be able to shut us down without a long drawn out battle.which will just promote us even more.
so think it out and im not looking to burn up all yalls time but slowly ease into this if your interested.
look at how fb muscled there way into the market as far as add revenue went, same with google.well we do the same.if we are the best then we set the rate and the advertisers beg and line up.
Great idea... but you need to work on your writing skills a tad.
::)
I could write on biomedical science news, health and European politics but don't know how much time I'd have free. If it paid well then obviously that would mean I could devote more time.

That's the biggest problem for something like this, if people are not being paid it's hard to give a big part of their time, as they need the time for doing things that give them money.

I could do interviews with cutting edge scientists and film it but it costs for travel and equipment.
It is a good idea but funding it is hard. It might be better to aggregate copyright free material and write editorials on material of interest.
I have excellent writing skills and am brave enough to take on BIG Corps as a profession. I specialize in contract law, domestic and foreign, and can translate into Japanese. I am semiretired by choice and can devote a healthy chunk of time on a daily basis...afternoons/evenings.
My circle of influence runs from international free energy pioneer corporatios, to Human Services, Tachyon Energy devices, and Solar powered, self-levitating vehicles and Satellites.
I have experienced much and my contacts are, I believe, impressive. I will work for free, pay my own travel expenses (should travel be necessary), and can connect you with others who may wish fund your efforts.
I would be both humbled and honored to be included in your endeavors.

I suppose that depends on two things: how do you make them know the service exists and how do you make it more interesting to them than all the other that already exist.

Assuming you know everything is a sure way of failing.
Just throwing this out there... How would anyone feel about working on a our own videogame? This is also something completely doable with enough help and also something we can put Pegasus material into.
What do you think ArMaP? :)
Robo... Good idea, however I feel the scope of it would require a good deal of financial & legal backing. Imagine, if you will, the freedom a videogame could offer.
We tried that video game before :P The forum we set up for working on it is still there.

That was about the time that Beth decided to "Undo"... Around the time we had WW3 on the site... Around the time we were looking at electrogravitics and free energy!
It might not have been the game that was the problem.
I'd suggest an online game could be the earner. I have not a lot to offer on that front,
Well there is not just programming and 3d modelling to making a video game. It's like making a movie. There's screenplays, dialogue, artwork needed...help on pretty much any level is still help that we don't have now.

Beth had a dream of making a game but the scope of that dream game was 5 year project with a good dev team and it was an online game that required a team, servers etc. There was some incompatibility issues that resulted in some unfortunate mishaps but live and learn.

I'd be interested in writing algorithms for combat etc but I simple won't have that much free time again in a few months. I'm more available at the moment hence posting more regularly again.

Are you familiar with the heartstone game from blizzard?
Quoteis a free-to-play online collectible card video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, released worldwide on March 11, 2014. Hearthstone builds upon the lore of the Warcraft series, using characters, creatures, and relics from the series. Initially released for Microsoft Windows and OS X personal computers, Hearthstone also supports iOS and Android devices, and features cross-platform play, allowing users on any device to compete with each other, restricted only by geographical region account limits.
The game is a turn-based card game between two opponents, using constructed decks of thirty cards along with a selected hero with a unique power. Players use mana points to cast spells or summon minions to attack the opponent, with the goal to reduce the opponent's health to zero. Winning matches can earn in-game gold, rewards in the form of new cards, and other in-game prizes. Players can then purchase new cards through gold or microtransactions and use these cards to customize and improve their decks. The game features several modes of play, including casual and ranked matches, as well as daily quests and weekly challenges to help earn additional gold and cards. New content for the game involves the addition of new card sets and gameplay, taking the form of either expansion packs or single-player adventures that reward the player with collectible cards upon completion.

if i was gonna build a game,it would be based on sumerian legend and cultic knowledge.
like when hermis says god uses nature to manipulate the world, basically a game where theres 2 degeees of seperation between you and results.challenging players to a higher level of thinking and strategy.
maybe come in as a apprentice to a god but eventually earning god ship.cloud based server stores your details.
that way like d&d you can take your character with you.hell maybe start out as a chimp and have to go through karma just to get to human level as peasant.
throw in general news and current world wars and movements to spice it up.
but have the game basically accelerated where a year is a day in god world.so in one month of play, the possibility of being peasant is just a month out.3 months after gets you god hood or demon status.
demon status is locked in and character burns at 100day point but has chance to put that off if he corrupts enough players and they cant climb upwards.gets dungbeatle status but has to climb back through ranks and karma just to get back to chimp.
suicide puts you back at same peasant but game throws more curves to hold you back at that status.
no making new characters, your email is your life link.
Since the cat is out of the bag... Pegasus IS working on a videogame. It is not a card game. We can not go into a lot of detail but we do need people of all sorts to make this progress. We are going to set up an area here on Pegasus to present this in a more official capacity and hopefully start moving this project forward.

Well the problem with letting cats out of bags is SOMEONE will steal your work...
Case in Point We were working for years on our Land of Legends Theme Park... Medieval mixed with Arabian Nights fantasy and Historical mixed Destination resort. We were CLOSE We had backers availble that would put up 200 MILLION if we delivered 10 Million based on our easily workable business plan. Some of the backers were Arabic... we were CLOSE I still have the paper for the 200 million...
But then heart attacks killed three of our top people in a matter of three months That killed us...
Today I look on the web and in Turkey I see THIS
Land of legends Theme Park by Rixos
http://thelandoflegendsthemepark.rixos.com/
The mountain with the lake is almost an exact copy of our design
So If your not ready to go forward, talking about it before hand will ensure someone with capital at hand will take your idea and run with it
One of the backers of our project Senator Donald harding, had the same thing happen when he had an idea for a radio show and discussed details in a restaurant. 2 weeks later someone ran that idea in New York (he was one of the backers who passed of heart attack just a few days before signing the papers to fund stage three0
The Land of Legends Las Vegas
http://landoflegendslv.com/index2.html
And we never posted the plans online so the 'leak' had to be from the backers or the architects who did all the drawings. Even the Entry builging and the hotel with the Middle East domes is almost identical to our concept... problem is you cannot copyright an idea for a theme park and it is in Turkey
Even the name "Land of legends" is in use by many other entities even though we have record of using it early many years ago
So yeah IF we had a new crew we could still build it, but who is up to get rich? :P

this art work looks like it once started life as a 3d model , useful for on-going character projects, where posing and clothing styles can be altered and animated to suit, although I wouldn't exactly call it 'not a lot' of work, modelling , skinning , and animating a character can take weeks
for example , take a guess at how long it took to render those ArMaP videos from months back..

Well the problem with a really good idea is that to go forward you have to share it with a team to make it happen. How do you vet your team? You can do background checks up the wazzoo and it still is no guarantee. in our case it is likely that the money people that saw a good idea went ahead with it when we were not able to. The name Land of Legends I can still use as there are many other uses of that exact phrase so you cannot really copyright it (and I can add something or change it anyway)
I would love to make one more try at it but would need to find the right people to want to make a go of it, even if I sell out after (keeping some rights) But where do I find such people? hmmmmmm
The concept we had would still work and the maoney can still be had, but I wasted 10 years on conspiracy stuff instead of picking up and going forward
Oh well...
Quotenot to bring up old scars but didnt i openingly express that security was very weak here and we should lock up ig but basically in the end everybody had a key.
Well the HEAD of IG was the main problem :P So how can I lock up something that isn't mine in the first place? IG came to me looking for space I provided it. I gave them the key to lock up their own shIt, only to find the viper at the head of the group :P Fortunately when he deleted all the files I had just made a backup.. but IG was never a Pegasus project to begin with... and we see what happened when we gave them a little rope... they tried to hang EVERYONE :p
Security? LOL This is a free software forum... not a paid for commercial expensive to maintain professional software. The security at the server is actually very top notch and we have NEVER had a breach at that level... but security in the forum itself is up to those who have admin status.
To work on a project you give scant details about what you are wanting to do You HAVE TO otherwise how do you get started? But once you have your team together you need to use old school methods to do the work Telephone works to start NOT SKYPE as skype is about as secure as a sieve... You then need to use conference mode on your PC A secure network, not an instant messenger like skype. It is easy enough to set up a peer to peer network that is secure.
You do NOT give out specific details of the project, story boards, ideas etc beyong your team
With the Land of Legend project our money lady wanted FOUR PAGES of summary to take to the investors At that time we had 20 VOLUMES of data sketches and logistics and contracts ready to show. Investors don't care They only want to see your basic plan on getting started and how quickly they will get their money back
So the only people who need the full details are those actually working on the project. I just burnt our original model a few months back... I may make a new one
Quotei smell a big ass rat and it aint me,just sayin.im broke, broke broke broke! so is thor and amy.we worked hard and i feel robbed.im still here for the time but i just had to vent.
problem with a forum is that anyone can be anyone... You ban someone there is little stopping them from using a new email and new name. Sure you can usually spot them by the way they type but not always And people can sign up and never post... just lurk and see what is being discussed
Private rooms work but NOT if the 'rat' is already in that private room :P
As to being broke... that is merely a state of mind :P Just starte selling stuff on Ebay anything doesn't matter what. Eventually something sells and you get money. The more items you list the more you potentially can sell. Takes a lot of work but it WORKS
Quoteeven you z had to sell off some stuff,
Well yeah but that is what I do... I find stuff and then sell off stuff. It keeps the roof over my head. Only when I procrastinate and stop listing stuff do I have issues....
Quotei think its time to get serious and find the traitor.OFF WITH THEIR HEAD ! KING ZORGON !
And HOW exactly do we find this person (or persons)? Many here still think YOU might be on that list :P So how do you find out?

Over the years I have tried in vein to push for this and suggested solutions.
At one point some of us were at least using Pidgin (which can be end to end encrypted), which is far better than Skype, then I remember a number of people deciding that Skype was a really great idea. ::)
Skype is ok for just shooting the breeze. It is completely stupid if you are working on anything sensitive or worth money. And I'm not holding back, the folks who think Skype is a good place to discuss commercially promising alternative energy projects or classified information are idiots and should not be working on those projects. :P
Yes people hate secrecy. But if the "other side" (big corps) have that secrecy and you do not then you are wasting your time.
Peggy is only as secure as the least secure administrator. Even worse, if anyone else has had access to an administrators account (and WE KNOW THAT THEY HAVE FOR A FACT IN ONE CASE) then the site is less secure even than the stupidest administrator.
The more experienced of us who have worked on secret stuff should know better.

Having worked in security for a number of years, I know the ins and outs of security, BUT...there is such a thing as INTEGRITY....you sign that statement, raise your right hand and swear that you will not divulge or render information to unsecured areas/people....You can have all the Administrators/SKYPE accounts/Pidgin accounts you want but it all comes down to INTEGRITY.....some have it some don't...some will abide by the rules...some won't, seeing their friendships as more important than their oath....That's why they have background checks....AND consequences for violations of a security oath....Seeing how there are NO consequences for a violation here, except for a ban, that isn't held up and past behavior forgiven, then we have an uphill battle....I guess you take your shots and take your chances...(TRUST) is the key word here...DO YOU TRUST THIS PERSON to have INTEGRITY....Tough Question....
I have and will always leave it to Zorgon as this is HIS forum...

I agree about the uphill battle.
Some of us take agreements and oaths seriously. :)

To be fair to Zorgon, he has given people their own areas on the site and left the access levels to them. But if admin are not secure (access to all areas and can give others access) or the people don't control access to their area then there is no security.
The alternative way to work is to give people jobs and only tell them what they need to do their job. Apart from that they just need to know where the project is going generally but no more. Need to know...
:) We've learnt a few tricks from our past mistakes and what happened here will not happen with the game. Security was a top priority and we planned for it. There is no infighting, it is a workspace as it was intended and should be.
