There may be a huge story behind recent headlines of bragging and confidence by US military officials. They may be bluffing and in panic behind the scenes. Have Russia and China developed new abilities that nullify US military power? The above is a link to a fascinating site worth following. There is speculation that if the US loses in Syria, the whole of Middle East US hegemony crumbles. All they have left to exploit for WW3 is Ukraine.
Do they need war? Maybe they know time is running out....
They should be panicking, Russia are close to installing an idiot who they need to be President to give themselves Carte Blanche in terms of global military control. They will regain the middle East at a canter if they can put Trump in place. :o ::)
The only reason Trump polls at all is because so many Americans observe their nation decaying - and being lied to about it by the government and media. When he says, "everything is fake", an emotional resonance is triggered.
The Western world seems to have gone mad. As harsh as life in Russia and China, their people can reasonably know that their leaders will defend their cultures to the last. I cannot recall the last time I heard anyone use the word "treason" here. Even the concept behind that word seems outdated now - and where does that leave us?
The fools in charge are destroying nationhood - with nothing to take its place since they can't offer prosperity, either.

Well said , Eighthman. In my many years of life I never thought I would find myself a stranger in my own country.
Treason is a good word. But who can even penetrate such a "protected" force to even file the charge?
This has been floating around for over a month. I would think it would be enough to cause some angst. The speculation about who or what has it is mind numbing. :-\

You can't audit "black" programs (publicly). That is where a lot of the money is I expect.
I hope you guys realise there is an intelligence effort on the part of the Russians to try to get Trump elected. Seriously!
I never could have imagined what I witness going on in the West today:
Liberals pushing towards all out war and supported by the rich. Conservatives pushing for negotiation and often funded by the lower class. Nations that fanatically accept immigrants from violent cultures and then excuse their sexual assaults and lack of integration.
I would rather see a buffoon as President (who favors 'deals') than a warmonger with neurological deficiencies. If the Russians feel the same way, Godspeed. Indeed, electing an obnoxious clown as President offers a practical guarantee against war because he will never have the credibility needed to get wars accomplished. Any conflict he attempts will run onto a barrage of hostile disbelief.

This just popped up. Their threat to stop talking with Russia looks like bullsh*t. More evidence that they are scared, feeling impotent.

You voted for Bush no doubt. When do you think the Middle East crisis kicked off? How about Afghanistan? Doh!
QuoteNations that fanatically accept immigrants from violent cultures
Can you not see the utter stupidity and hypocrisy in that statement?
America is A NATION OF IMMIGRANTS WHO VIOLENTLY GRABBED SOMEONE ELSE LAND! You as a nation are obsessed with guns. Toddlers are killed by guns on a weekly basis. You are the most violent Western nation on Earth in terms of murder rates, including by your own police, especially on the black population. Then you blame "immigrants" You are people who violently immigrated onto the continent.
GEDDIT YET? Its racist xenophobic hypocrisy of the first order.
Quoteand then excuse their sexual assaults and lack of integration.
I assume you have integrated neatly into native American culture and share their values right? They have the same income levels as immigrants right?
GEDDIT YET? Are you integrated into the culture you invaded? Or are you talking like a bigoted hypocrite?
QuoteI would rather see a buffoon as President
I don't doubt that for a second LOOOOOL
Like Bush who started the wars you mean? Could he even spell his own name?
Quote"Can you name the general who is in charge of Pakistan?" asked Hiller, inquiring about Gen. Pervaiz Musharraf, who took over last month in a military coup.
Bush said: "The new Pakistani general, he's just been elected – not elected, this guy took over office. It appears this guy is going to bring stability to the country and I think that's good news for the subcontinent."
Hiller persisted, saying "Can you name him?"
Bush said: "General. I can name the general. General."

So in the event the Russians just do what the fuc4 they like in the Middle East (along with their allies Iran and Syria) that's a good thing is it?
If I were Putin, I'd be rooting for Trump right now. ::)
Luckily just enough Americans are likely to be alert to the obvious reason for the pro-Trump bias of media like RT News (formerly Russia Today). WAKE UP!
No, I didn't vote for Bush. And the US has done just fine taking in people from Muslim nations - who have education and money and wish to escape repressive societies.
I have seen no evidence that the current wave of immigration to the EU will benefit them, as Soros claims. There are far too many 'no go' zones and de facto ghettos that suggest a lack of useful integration. It's not the same as bringing in Saudi doctors and engineers.
US society is violent? If that were really true, immigrants wouldn't be demanding to come here to escape, would they? We don't have proper gun control because we have a government that is appallingly corrupt and giving up guns now would be dumb beyond belief.
A vote for Donald Trump is a vote to wreck US hegemony - as he lacks the conspiratorial discretion and credibility to do otherwise. And he is utterly lacking in a close knit protective Neo Con cult to prevent his bluster from reaching the public. Bush once asked Condi , "do they have black folks in Brazil?" which somehow missed the headlines (unlike what Trump would experience). If the US is so bad, why ignore a fantastic chance to end its misrule of the globe?

Maybe in the US, it didn't miss them everywhere. :)
This is noteworthy if you missed it:
QuoteWARNING : Russia Issues New "Rules of Engagement" in Syria: Any Aircraft Threatening the Syrian Army WILL BE SHOT DOWN (US/Turkey/Israel in the cross-hairs!)
After the United States and "Coalition" aircraft attacked Syrian Army positions "by mistake" – which killed 62 and injured over 100 Syrian Soldiers – Russia says the next mistake will be the pilot's last, as new Rules of Engagement are now in effect.
Two days ago, on 17 September, US-led coalition jets bombed Syrian government forces' positions near the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor, killing 62 troops and "paving the way" for Islamic State militants, the Syrian Army General Command told the state television.
The bombing took place on al-Tharda Mountain in the region of Deir ez-Zor and caused casualties and destruction on the ground, Syria's official SANA news agency reported on Saturday.
US & US-controlled forces haven't fulfilled any Syria ceasefire deal obligations – Russian Army
Sixty-two Syrian soldiers were killed and over 100 injured in the airstrike by the US-led coalition, Russia's Defense Ministry spokesman, Major-General Igor Konashenkov, said, citing information received from the Syrian General Command.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the aircraft which carried out the bombings had entered Syrian airspace from the territory of Iraq.
Four strikes against Syrian positions was performed by two F-16 jet fighters and two A-10 support aircraft, it added.
"If the airstrike was caused by the wrong coordinates of targets than it's a direct consequence of the stubborn unwillingness of the American side to coordinate with Russia in its actions against terrorist groups in Syria," Konashenkov stressed.
The Defense Ministry also confirmed a report by SANA that an Islamic State offensive began right after Syrian Army positions were hit from the air.
"Immediately after the airstrike by coalition planes, Islamic State militants launched their offensive. Fierce fighting with the terrorists is currently underway in the area of the airport where for a long a time humanitarian aid for civilians was parachuted," Konashenkov said.
The timing of the ISIS attack, coming within 7 minutes of the US air strikes against the Syrian Army, has led some to conclude the US is providing air cover for ISIS Terrorists!
The Syrian General Command called the bombing a "serious and blatant aggression" against Syrian forces, and said it was "conclusive evidence" that the US and its allies support IS militants.

Quote30 Israeli, Foreign Intelligence Officers Killed in Russia's Caliber Missile Attack in Aleppo
"The Russian warships fired three Caliber missiles at the foreign officers' coordination operations room in Dar Ezza region in the Western part of Aleppo near Sam'an mountain, killing 30 Israeli and western officers," the Arabic-language service of Russia's Sputnik news agency quoted battlefield source in Aleppo as saying on Wednesday.
The operations room was located in the Western part of Aleppo province in the middle of sky-high Sam'an mountain and old caves. The region is deep into a chain of mountains.
Several US, Turkish, Saudi, Qatari and British officers were also killed along with the Israeli officers. The foreign officers who were killed in the Aleppo operations room were directing the terrorists' attacks in Aleppo and Idlib.

Quote'S-300, S-400 air defenses in place': Russian MoD warns US-led coalition not to strike Syrian army
Russia's Defense Ministry has cautioned the US-led coalition of carrying out airstrikes on Syrian army positions, adding in Syria there are numerous S-300 and S-400 air defense systems up and running.
Russia currently has S-400 and S-300 air-defense systems deployed to protect its troops stationed at the Tartus naval supply base and the Khmeimim airbase. The radius of the weapons reach may be "a surprise" to all unidentified flying objects, Russian Defense Ministry spokesperson General Igor Konashenkov said.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, any airstrike or missile hitting targets in territory controlled by the Syrian government would put Russian personnel in danger.
The defense official said that members of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria are working "on the ground" delivering aid and communicating with a large number of communities in Syria.
"Therefore, any missile or air strikes on the territory controlled by the Syrian government will create a clear threat to Russian servicemen."

The drums are getting loud.
There are a great many blogs about Russia's defiance of the US - and nearly all of them (even the pro-Russian ones) ignore one simple fact: China's military.
Suppose Russia and the US have an all out war. Who wins? China. China would occupy whatever resources are left in Russia - and the US wouldn't be able to survive without Chinese imports. Nuts and bolts, hand tools, auto parts, the list goes on and on. A few (apparently very few) sane people at the Pentagon cringe to think about this dependence.
Going to war with Russia would be suicide. China would end up as supreme commander of the world. This is the '3 legged stool' that Nixon came up with and nuclear war has been avoided ever since.

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot wrong with the USA but the founding principles are something I hold in high esteem. It's easy to misunderstand me as my debating tone is pretty direct and aggressive at times.
I stand by my point though. Yes America is violent for an advanced (G8) country. It also seems that part of the population have some kind of false self image. You are immigrants. Trump is a bigot. One who thinks its virtuous for a billionaire to avoid paying taxes and is happy to give the likes of Putin and Assad carte blache.
I agree with the idea of less overseas intervention. But declaring you won't intervene is dangerous and weakens your negotiating hand to the level of lame duck President. If as you say Trump does not have the credibility to mobilise the military then Russia and China will be jumping for joy.
I hope you don't have to but if it happens, mark my words. If I turn out to be wrong I'll be the first to admit it. :)
I recall PRC members having discussions about John Hutchinson's work.. and I think at one time Johns wife Nancy became a PRC member for a while.

Ex Mi6 mentioned John Hutchinson the day before !
Does anyone know if the 2nd picture below maybe her ? (I found the 1st one on a web search)
Her or who ever's message that I refer to may relate to this thread.

The US is the greatest threat to peace on earth, sadly. China/Russia would almost certainly do a better job. Examples:
Korea - the SK economy is 40 times greater than NK. There is no reason to be here. If the US walked away, China would be stuck with the mess. Would that be bad?
Europe - NATO outspends Russia 13 to 1. There is no reason to be there. Putin does not want war - he wants a free trade zone, "from Lisbon to Vladivostok". How do I know he's telling the truth? Because Russia would be squarely in the middle of that and would benefit enormously - war would get in the way.
Ukraine - a black hole of debt and corruption and angry people. Aside from some Russian speaking areas, there is no reason to want it. It's a failed state and much of the only good industry has left for Russia anyway. What remains will be farm land contaminated by GMO production ( Russia said NO to that).
South China Sea - while the US pushes sea treaties on other nations, it REFUSES TO SIGN THEM!. Instead of begging the US to help, the Phillipines are publicaly swearing at them. China is signing agreements to improve the mess.
Syria - my terrorists are better than your terrorists? Really? Utterly pointless.
US hegemony can't end soon enough for me. Fix problems at home ( if they can muster any skill to do that).
