Old Google UFO Rehashed! or Why Zorgon is becoming a Skeptic

This one from Scott C Warring

An alleged flying saucer found partially hidden on Google Earth

UFO chaser believes he's found crashed Roswell flying saucer under trees on Google Earth

QuoteCOULD UFO this really be the mythical Roswell flying saucer which allegedly crashed in the New Mexico desert in 1947?

A UFO investigator appears to have found the clearest image yet of an alien craft in this aerial image of remote Romania available on Google Earth?

The picture of a circular object complete with dome-top and possible windows around the rim has done the rounds on UFO and conspiracy websites.

Scott C Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily, is the latest to suggest it is indeed, a downed saucer, and is hidden away in an "agricultural Timbuktu".

He claims to be the first researcher to have investigated Google Earth images of the object from 2003 up to now, and to have looked at it from all angles.

And his conclusion is it is a perfect example of the "classic flying saucers" reportedly seen in the 1940s and 1950s when the Roswell craft allegedly crashed before being squirrelled away to a secret location by the US military to "hide the truth from the public."

In a video posted to YouTube, he said his observations had ruled out it being anything such as a building as it is "sitting flat on the ground, there are no doorways and roads or paved walkways".

In fact, he has developed a conspiracy theory that it is being hidden and old-looking buildings have been even recently been made by mysterious officials to put people off the scent, of where the 1940s craft is hidden.

Hmmm well that one was debunked years ago as a building. LOL if this was a 'hidden UFO' then why is it still there in Google Earth images all these years?

This is my image from google earth posted in 2008

Here is this "UFO":  from the ground. Some locals said the building is some kind of water pumping facility. The doorway is hidden under the trees in the satellite image.

But hey  must be slow news day in the UK :P because this "UFO" is going viral today

I give up, I really do

Well there is ONE good thing about this article :D

Read down a bit   8)

"But he said by getting in close on Google earth, he could see it had no legs and was therefore "proof it was not a water tower".

However, during any research nothing beats getting down to the site in question, or at least sending someone else there.

According to Thelivingmoon, com, the Pegasus Research Consortium, did just that as part of its UFO Files research.

The group obtained a photograph of the object from locals who snapped it on the ground.

Unfortunately for Mr Waring, the conclusion from this picture was that it was a concrete or brick structure with tiled roofs and a small doorway.

The consortium said: "Here is this 'UFO' from the ground.

"Some locals said the building is some kind of water pumping facility. The doorway is hidden under the trees in the satellite image."

Seems like the pumping station theory holds a lot more water than the flying saucer one."

So...

We have press coverage :D

British journalists are using us as a source.  Maybe we should pass more info to newspapers when we find it.  The publicity might bring in members.  8)

I'm hoping to take another look at "The Spire" area again.  You remember Mike Singh looked at it.  There has to be much better quality images available from Clementine and LRO we could analyse but I haven't seen any.  The image Mike looked at were just LO.  It is just a matter of finding images from the right direction.

If we confirmed what we suspected that would be Earth shatteringly newsworthy.

Do you have coordinates of the location and if so can Armap locate any?

Instead of doing it here I'll start a new thread in admin.  If I post in the main forum it will get flooded with random comments.  ArMaP did say he would take a look for me but I suspect he forgot.

The material about it is spread around the site.  Sarge did a video of his analysis but that was just a Lunar Orbitor image.  Clementine and LRO should be much better.  Mike Singh looked at it which can be found on the livingmoon main site.  But it is off topic here so I'll start a thread in private and if we find anything we can post it for the members and wider world.  This could potentially be a big one. ;)

I didn't forget, but it's hard to find the exact spot, as there are too many differences in lighting from photo to photo.  :)
