I'd post some of my theories about things, but I'm afraid of being laughed at and/or run off. It happened over at ATS. Brutal.
My latest project is running a voice-activated recorder while I sleep. That is some creepy stuff. Just this morning I recorded two voices. I live alone. One of them was me. I have no idea who the man was.
I have to download it to my laptop and analyze it before I can say anything further about it.
Dear Irene
i put this here for you to tell us more..pleaseeeeeee..this sounds like something that we can discuss and share...thanks so much for being brave and even mentioning your happening..
way back when i was in school i read about the voice recordings in the black forest and now i need to see if it is still on one of my shelves...
it totally fascinated me then and still does .. i have wished many times to have had a recording of things i hear..so i can't wait to read your story
big hugs
ps Z if this isn't the right spot please move to where it should go..thanks
Hi Otter,
Nice to hear from you personally about this.
I've spent about an hour, and two French presses of coffee, trying to isolate the specific files that are involved, With the app I'm using, each voice activation is a separate file and there are about 1400 to go through.
I've tried doing a little math to narrow my search, but no joy. I'm probably going to have to listen to each file individually to pinpoint the first file. The entire "incident", rather, "session", spans eight (8.) files, which are two (2) to ten (10) seconds in length.
I'm going to see "Inferno" in an hour then I'm going to visit my mother who has dementia. I will back "on the case" when I get home late this afternoon.
Irene :)
i haven't been able to find the book i was referring too.. maybe someone can help
i think it was called voices from beyond or similar
it was a scientist recording bird calls in the black forest and when he played it back there were voices on the tape..
i used to have it in paperback but i must have purged it to the library sale in some past year..
i'll keep looking but i seem to be going in circles with groups who are recording in the black forest..sigh
:(
Otter,
I sadly report that this brief conversation referred to something in my personal life, so I don't want to share it. I still cannot explain how the man's voice was generated by me, but it was definitely my voice, very low and masculine.
It's very unnerving.
I will continue my project and use this thread to update my progress.
Be patient. I'm sure this happens every night, but the app I'm using has its limitations. If you know of a better app for this purpose please let me know and I'll download it immediately.
I will look into the book you're referring to. It sounds very interesting.
Irene :-\
for analyzing recordings get a spectrum analyzer app.theres one that is real badass but it takes some time to learn.theres also some basic ones that do allright.
for security ,get salient eye.its super badass.motion sensor and automatic picture taking sent straight to email.simple to use.get a cheapo android and power cord and just mount it in your house and forget it.permanent security system.

Night of Nov 2/3 -
Snore
Snore
Sniff
Three knocks on my bedroom window! I live upstairs!
Pause
Snore
Snore
I am completely creeped out.
It's 1450, my time. I didn't have a chance to listen to last night's files until now.
:o
I suppose some dedicated equipment would be better.
Some years ago in another forum I read a thread about someone using a recorder specifically made for cases like this.

I used to use a digital micro years ago and picked up some interesting stuff, but most of it was garbled. The clearest recording I captured was someone whistling right next to my bed.
I'm currently using the Dream Talk Recorder app with my Android and everything is crystal clear.
The only problem segment was when I spoke in a deep man's voice. I had to crank the volume all the way up to hear it, but it was still clear as a bell.
I'm creeped out by what I'm picking up, but equally fascinated. I don't know why I didn't think of revisiting this project after I got my first smartphone. Part of it was that I had no idea there were apps for this purpose.
I will open a YT account soon and hopefully upload these mp4s. I'm having some trouble isolating them in their respective folders. There is no rhyme or reason to how they are named by the app.
Stay tuned.
Okay, I have established a YT account and attempted to upload the mp4 files relevant to our discussion here. YT is rejecting them even though they're the proper file type.
I'm now asking for help from the membership with this problem. I read through YT troubleshooting, et al, and no joy.

Do you get an error message?

QuoteThe video has failed to process. Please make sure you are uploading a supported file type.
According to the directions, mp4s are acceptable. :(
MP4 is the most common format, but for video, I never tried to upload only audio, as I suppose you are trying to do.
SoundCloud is a bust. You have to upload from a desktop, which I don't have.
Apparently, YouTube doesn't allow audio only files, only video.
Irene does your recording sound like these?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJmrajqwVXk
Yes.
Roaring - No
Another person - Yes, but I live alone. It sounded like a man, but was me in a very deep voice I can't reach while awake. My voice doesn't go that low.
"Exploding head" - Yes, I've heard bells. I've also heard my dead father calling my name and my mother, who lives in a dementia care unit, calling my name.
I've also recorded myself snoring while someone messes with my smartphone on my nightstand.
The damn cat has barfed all over the house, so I have work to do.
One item of interest before I go -
I once awoke to an orb the size of a soccer ball hovering over my bed. It was a clear bubble with bright blue lightning inside of it.
I sat up and it sped away from me and through the opposite wall of the bedroom.
As I've mentioned a couple of times here, my family experiences generational close encounters.
Go ahead and call me crazy. I'm used to it.
Irene :)
Irene, I for one am certainly not going to call you crazy so I hope you didn't think that I was.

Oh, hell no. I think everyone here at Pegasus has seen and read about the truth versus what the gov and private contractors would like us to believe.
It's the reason we're
here.
the dc navy yard killer said he heard voices and claimed to be under radiation attack like me.i suggest you download the magnetometer app to check for radiation.anything over 50 needs to be checked out.the app points the way via the y axis.my readings ran from 54-64 when i was under attack.at 64 was when i busted him.the app was flashing yellow and red and i think was saying danger.that last time, was the first time it had done that.freaked me out.
some of that new army tech can put voices in your head.they used it in iraq on the enemy.
