Just seen a TV Morning News show a Recruitment Agency Manager who was being Interviewed to tell how they and some Bosses are now wanting to start using Spying Monitors on its Employees that will tell them numerous things about each of their Workers...
The Agency boss saying that those willing to wear them have better chance to be considered for being recruited...
and How pleased she looked...
One of the Interviewers saying How Evil she appeared about her response !
The Monitor will track where you are even when out of Work so they would know if you were likely going to be late...Track your productivity...and your stress levels etc...and maybe even read your emotions.
How Much some seemed all for it ! ::)
It can have certain advantages for some Jobs IMO...
It may also be that if anyone calls in Sick that it may be able to tell if your lying...
But if it was brought into force for all ...then I only see it as Wage Slavery is not the Word ! as we become more and more like Humanoid drones or Robots...

It is already being trialled by four British outfits — including accounting giant Deloitte, parts of the NHS, a high street bank and a retailer.
Supporters claim the credit-card sized tracker, which is worn round the neck, will increase productivity.
But campaigners last night blasted the move and insisted it was yet another invasion of privacy.

Renate Samson, chief executive of Big Brother Watch, said the device risked turning humans into robots.
She said: "It is unacceptable for businesses to discriminate against staff based on the monitoring and tracking of their personality, fitness and out-of-work lifestyle."
The tracker is worn for 24-hours and the results are combined with data gathered from emails and phone calls to establish how much work is being done.

The device has a built-in microphone for voice analysis to assess stress and coping levels and a Bluetooth sensor to monitor body language around colleagues.
GPS sensors track employees around the workplace, monitoring how much they talk to colleagues and overall physical output.
It can even detect if an employee is drunk.
Ben Waber, chief executive of Humanyze, which makes the badges, said they would revolutionize working practices.

Finance giant Deloitte, some parts of the NHS, a leading high street bank and a retailer are all thought to already be using the devices
He said: "It's looking at the amount of time you talk, who you talk to, your tone of voice, activity levels, dynamics like how often you interrupt.
"By mining that data, you can actually get very detailed information on how people are communicating, how physiologically aroused people are, and can make predictions about how productive and happy they are at work."
He said the tone of conversations was logged – not the content – and bosses would only get an overview of activity.

Individuals must consent to wearing the badges and 90 per cent did, he added.
The firms believed to be using the badge include consultants Deloitte and parts of the NHS.
A leading UK retailer is also using the badges.

I think my brand new car may be akin to this device. My insurance shot up based on my supposed driving record. I don't have one. I'm clean. I'm waiting for them to produce the evidence. I'm sure it will take months and turn out to be someone with a similar name.
After working for the government for decades I don't trust employers one iota to do the right thing.
The thing that concerns me most is the escalation in stress such a device would cause. You cannot relax when you are constantly monitored by the people who employ you.
I would refuse something like that. I turn off my employer issued cell phone on my days off. They don't pay me to be available 24/7. I used to work for a company that said employees should always be available. Not unless I'm getting paid. Work takes up enough of my life. They don't need to invade my non - work time. Although, the office called when I was in California last summer, wanting to know if I could see a patient that morning. I said it was too far to commute.

In Portugal, unless it was a voluntary decision of the employee, something like this is illegal, even to have security cameras in an work place the employer needs a special license, and the cameras cannot be pointing to the employees.
There are cameras everywhere here. YouTube is loaded with some really funny stuff, especially the Russians. Unfortunately, there's a lot of really embarrassing stuff too.
It's gotten so no one can relax wherever there is at least one person with a cam. Even then, there's bound to be one around.
I hate it. As a public servant for decades and having had to deal with that, I HATE IT.

The way I see this Tracker type situation is that within the last few years or certainly since smart phones came about...
They initially quite quickly worked on the idea of having animals chipped...(I believe (recently) now at least in the UK this is now required by law)
Then there has been more and more suggestions that such tagging maybe a good idea to be used on Children...(which I agree can or could have some validity in certain cases..but Im not sure that it really needs to be used as the human race has done without such things thru out past history)
and Now this is the early stages of trying to get the public to accept tagging... before they will later try to get us to accept chipping in adults.
Just How quickly this could become accepted by the masses and becomes reality could be much closer than we may envision..
I don't know about other countries but most folks in the USA have given in and allowed their body fluids to be collected and examined just to apply for employment. People now accept drug testing as a routine grotesque intrusion. Of course if everyone refused this then employers would cease this profane practice after a short time without workers but there's always lots of people who take short term gain for long term sacrifice rather than taking the short term sacrifice for the long term gain.
These devices I predict will be accepted just like drug testing have became until so many employers demand it as routine that nobody will buck the trend. Then after a couple of decades it will just be the norm, again just like the drug testing.
Having your entire life an open book to an employer is slavery. You can argue that you can quit but good luck surviving financially once the majority goes along with it.

The interesting thing about UA's for drug use is that 99% of the time the results are negative. Of course it
is a way to proactively discourage drug use.

Absolutely. Under the influence, a user's judgment is often grossly impaired. Alcohol is a good example. Hundreds of people are killed every year by drunks who believe they are capable of driving and are not.
If you're going to abuse drugs, do it at home and stay there until you are sober and will not endanger innocent people.
