According to media reports, a Canadian sniper set what appears to be a new record, picking off an enemy Kahlua-fudgebar fighter from 2.2 miles away using his McMillan Tac-50 with Schmidt and Bender PMII scope.

I watched this again last night.  It shows you how a trained sniper can take out things that far away.  Good film.
