Aside from unconscious brainstem functions, our bodies manage an enormous array of biological mechanisms without our minds intervening.  We don't have to remember to keep breathing or balance our potassium/levels ordinarily.

No but the pituitary gland and brain are still fundamental to the co-ordinating of many systems.  Some of it is conscious and some isn't.  That in no way invalidates the analogy.

As for the God question, it is incidental to the point.  Whether there is a God or not, there is a brain in humans, a queen in an ants nest and humanity is doomed without a co-ordinating principle.  So far God (if it exists) has clearly left it to humans to sort out or is deliberately inflicting misery on untold millions - take your pick!

Just in case ascension doesn't happen on December 21st, 2012, could we set up a fair, democratic system that is run in the interests of the whole and not the few.

Lets keep it real folks.  What I am suggesting is plainly sensible and progressive.  Unless you have a theistic or nationalistic agenda then where exactly is the problem with a fair and democratic system.... even if it is part of a transition to an ascended humanity or hoped for future abundance paradigm.  If we wait, there may not be a future.

Your interest is not that of most humans or animal species!

Actually, I don't know of a single animal species which doesn't live in groups that are governed at a local scale.  Eusocial insects, mammals, you name it.  Nature operates as a decentralised, distributed network; not as the kind of top down global monolith that the cabal want to enforce on everyone.

The Internet itself is the first example that I know of, of humanity being able to build something which operates in this way.  It is a planetary network, yet it has no centralised governance.  Every site connected to the network is governed locally; yet maintenance of the network at a localised, per-node level, is performed because it is universally recognised that all benefit as a result.

This is the problem; and this is also where I remember again, how Christianity and some other faiths have actually said that evil cannot create.  It can only attempt to create mockeries of that which nature does.  With centrally planned Communism, or with the type of centralised world federalism that the cabal want to inflict on the rest of us, that is what they are doing.

The type of network I have described, naturally exists in a fractal manner; from the smallest scale to the highest.  The cabal do not want that; they do not understand the paradox of how individual free will can still coincide with the requirements of the ecological network.  They do not want dynamic self-organisation of a kind that mimics Nature; on the contrary, that is viewed as the single most potentially lethal threat to them that could possibly exist, and they destroy it wherever they find it.

For a start, I didn't say governed.

I said co-ordinated.  The more complex a species is, the more it depends on a co-ordinating system.

Basic prokaryotic cells (e.g. bacteria) have a simple nucleus; more complex eukaryotic  cells (e.g. animal or yeast) have a highly organised nucleus to co-ordinate function.  Simple multicellular organisms like many worms, have no need for a brain or centralised glands, more complex organisms (e.g. snake like reptiles) have a brain and glandular system!  Highly complex species have a developed brain and nervous system (e.g. wales and humans).

Society needed a simple hierarchy in the past when they were nomadic or tribal.  A more powerful one was needed to co-ordinate industrialisation (national).

Humanity has now moved to a new level:  Global economy and trade.  One nation can, out of self interest, exploit the wealth of others and the planet.  Competition between Nations (e.g. China and USA in the coming years) leads to War, competition for the most resources (clearly a bad thing) and the weak are left with little.  THE SOLUTION IS OBVIOUS!

We have a species with the capacity to kill its host (and we only know of one officially) but no co-ordinating principle to stop the madness.  Running things in the interest of a nation will lead to disaster.  A new level of organisation is required.  If you cannot see that then in my opinion you have missed something fundamental.

And, to the idea of letting these nations destroy us all while we hope they let us move into an abundance paradigm of anarchic utopia.... madness.  They won't let go of power.  Only a democratic body can hope to keep them in check and have the backing of the masses.  That body needs to be global.
