A PROPOSAL
FOR A KUBOTA-SPONSORED
DISASTER RELIEF TEAM

Mr. Buck Trawick
Director of Marketing
Kubota Tractor Corporation
Torrance, California USA

Greetings:

Thank you for your time and consideration.

We too, think "it's time to let the secret out"...

As fellow Georgians, we are approaching your Company to assist us in lending a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in the Superstorm Sandy ravaged areas - specifically Staten Island, NY.

By way of introduction, our current OPERATIONS DISASTER RELIEF TEAM is comprised of current and "retired" volunteer firefighters, EMT's, military, LEO's and other concerned citizens who come together in times of national disasters to assist our neighbors in need.

As First Responders, we are often 'in-country' before the hurricane and therefore are available immediately after landfall to perform various duties such as opening primary highways and streets for emergency vehicle access before assisting distressed homeowners.

For example, we sheltered in place near Hattisburg, MS for Hurricane Katrina and took a direct hit.

We acquired a Takehuchi T-140 track machine and immediately fell in love with Pilot Controls - so much that we leased a Bobcat T-300 with pilot controls, heater and AC, windows and a bulletproof front door - which has been proven indispensable many times.

Now, we now preparing to set out on another adventure -
Staten Island Sandy Relief.

This time, however, we are making a documentary with the potential of a Frontline Special with our good friend and Rabun County neighbor, Miles O'Brien.

We have an award-winning producer/film maker, Bart Patton, already signed on to the project.

We will utilize numerous Twitter, Facebook and Youtube accounts to post to keep up a daily blog on our activities.

We propose
to make
"BIG ORANGE"
the star of the show.

We have been doing the very same stuff as First Response Team of America - but far longer, and have been doing it because we are firefighters who understand the importance of emergency vehicle access and just happen to own and operate a tree service company that always finds work with our brother firefighters and LEO's.

The First Response Team of America is a 4-person nonprofit organization whose mission is to respond to communities in need in the initial hours after being hit with a natural disaster. The team carries with it specialized equipment for various disaster situations, including: cranes and skid loaders for clearing roads, hovercrafts for water rescues, generators for powering up emergency facilities, water pumps for floods, and communication devices to reconnect victims of disasters with loved-ones. The team is based out of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The First Response Team was founded by Tad Agoglia, who was nominated as a CNN Heroes top 10 finalist in 2008 and awarded a Jefferson Award in 2010 for his humanitarian work through the organization. He initially funded the team with his own savings.

Today, the organization continues through corporate and private donations. Organizations that have partnered with the First Response Team include: Caterpillar, Peterbilt, the Pete Store and Terex.

Sponsored by Peterbilt, Caterpillar, The Pete Store and Terex.

The First Response Team has responded to dozens of disasters since 2007, including communities hit by tornadoes, floods, ice storms, mud slides, as well as the 2010 Haiti earthquake and the Gulf Oil Spill.

The major difference between First Response Team of America and Operations Disaster Relief Team is that we are professionals with decades of disaster relief under our collective belts and that we never have asked for any type of Sponsorship from anyone.

Until now.

This is where Kubota comes into the picture - literally.

Our proposal is to have Kubota provide your top-of-the-line Track Loader with all the whistles and bells on a trailer with a smooth bucket grapple and a snow blade to be the star free-of-charge (a loaner that you can turn into rental after we rescue Staten Island - or, maybe you are so pleased with what has been accomplished that you just let us keep it on extended loan).

We have various vehicles with which to tow the rig... however, we have in mind to use my Heavy Duty Ford F-250 6L Diesel/5-speed auto with HD tow package and invisible 5th wheel.

It is currently being lifted and outfitted with new 35" BFG All Terrain KO's, new brakes, DOT strobes and a full light bar. It's a dark green monster - mechanically sound - and really looks and runs good.

Here is a 'before' picture.

We might even entertain an idea to paint the truck BIG ORANGE to match the Kubota Track Loader.

But not right now, as we feel it is of utmost importance to accomplish at least SOME work before Christmas.

This is actually a marketing no-brainer for your company, considering that a straight-out rental of a Bobcat on trailer comparably equipped is only about $3,000 a month.

What can you get marketing-wise for that pittance?

You might even consider a Full Sponsorship and give us a budget to work with so we could work for the down trodden citizens for free instead of having to solicit paying jobs to get by - say a two-person team to start.

Thank you for your time and consideration and we look forward to your positive response.

Respectfully,
