Larry Ellison buys island to use as sustainable test bed

According to a link my younger brother just sent me, Larry Ellison has just bought an island near Hawai'i.  He is apparently planning on attempting to create some type of sustainable/organic settlement on it, with solar power and possibly electric cars.  A first step, perhaps?
