People never really know what they want in a mate--they don't usually even know what they want for themselves until they get big ideas from someone else or their grumbling gut. This lends to the emergence of bizarre-o relationships, a few of which I've had myself.

There is something to love about any woman, even the brutal ones who lop off their husband's pecker...like the aptly named Lorena Bobbit. John, who was...shall we say--disenfranchised, became a low-budget porn "star" after the incident. Go figure.

Psychology is a wide-open field of unknowns mingling with knowns, and I wonder if that isn't essentially the secret key to happiness in love.
