August 6, 2013 story.

I use TOR once in a great while and every now and than I see a pop up asking to allow something on the site I am visiting with TOR. Just thought you TOR users would want to know the following.

QuoteSecurity researchers are thoroughly studying a new malware that exploits a Firefox security flaw to identify some users of the privacy-protecting Tor anonymity network, according to a report by Wired.

The malicious software started turning up on Sunday morning on many websites hosted by the anonymous hosting provider Freedom Hosting.

But perhaps what is most disconcerting is that the FBI appears to be responsible for the malware, according to Vlad Tsyrklevich and other researchers.

Domaintools says the malware's command-and-control IP address in Virginia is allocated to Science Applications International Corporation, a McLean, Virginia-based technology contractor for defense and intelligence agencies.

If this information is correct, the code could potentially be the first sample discovered as part of the FBI's law enforcement spyware "computer and internet protocol address verifier."

CIPAV is a software the FBI can distribute through a browser flaw to obtain information from the target's machine and deliver it to a Virginia-based FBI server, according to court documents and FBI files released under the FOIA.

When will the bulk of Us see that the terrorists are the Ones who claim to be "protecting" Us from terrorists?

its funny its just coming out about tor.ive known of tors backdoor for three years and have been warning folks.as far as i know there is only one unhackable program and it came out about the same time as pgp.i think it was a guy from sweden or switzerland.the gov is preaching certain codes cant be hacked because it takes too long is a lie.these new superfast large memory computers can butcher almost any code.even if they have to do it the hard way.
