If they do bring these texts to the moon and leave them, it is my hope that moon creatures will eat them and regurgitate them into an invented religion.....just like the Council of Nicea did here...ya know, for posterity.

Now as for sharing the true accomplishments of mankind, yes, that would be a good idea.....but to allow the insanity of any world religion beyond mythos and legend to continue through the galaxy? Bad idea.

Whoever finds the religious works will assume mankind was one gullible and primitive minded race, but whoever finds our science journals will be astounded, how such once combined fields such as theology and science couldve gotten so far separated into two entities in the first place, and how far man did get scientifically before the flood or comet wiped us clean again from the planet.

IamSylas, good to see the post! The thought of trying to preserve what they believe is the Word of God would bring some question to such action. Do they think God is unable to preserve his on Word?

God's Word is not something that is just writings on pages. Rather it is alive, and exists like the air we breath. Simply to reinforce that point, the Bible has a scripture that says directly, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away". That statement is not referring to "written Words". Obviously, God can write them on stone or papyrus again (for his man) if he needs to!

Strictly from man's point of thought, God is probably laughing and/or shaking his head again, at his man's emphasis on "things" rather than on him!

yea let's preserve man's accomplishments  if you can find any

sending religion anywhere besides the garbage is a form of pollution

Family Stones Pakistani Woman to Death in 'Honor Killing' Outside Court

LAHORE, Pakistan - A 25-year-old woman was stoned to death by her family outside one of Pakistan's top courts on Tuesday in a so-called "honor" killing for marrying the man she loved, police said.

Farzana Iqbal was waiting for the High Court in the eastern city of Lahore to open when a group of around dozen men began attacking her with bricks, said Umer Cheema, a senior police officer.

Her father, two brothers and former fiance were among the attackers, he said. Iqbal suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead in the hospital, police said.

All the suspects except her father escaped. He admitted killing his daughter, Cheema said, and explained it was a matter of honor. Many Pakistani families think a woman marrying her own choice of man brings dishonor on the family.

Iqbal had been engaged to her cousin but married another man, Cheema said. Her family registered a kidnapping case against him but Iqbal had come to court to argue that she had married of her own free will, he said.

Around 1,000 Pakistani women are killed every year by their families in honor killings, according to Pakistani rights group the Aurat Foundation.

The true figure is probably many times higher since the Aurat Foundation only compiles figures from newspaper reports. The government does not compile national statistics.

I'm all for EVERY ancient text going there.  But to single out just ONE set of documents seems agenda-driven.
