Plus I don't carry a smartphone, I'm old fashioned so i dont have one on me.

I don't have one either, or even an old style cell phone, I don't like telephones.

Imagine going for your camera and missing something.

There's always that possibility, but the opposite also happens, if you don't try to take a photo you will not get more than your memory of the event. That's one of those occasions in which people have to judge how much of each they want, risk missing something to get the camera or not getting a camera for fear of missing something.

Or if you were on a plane and you point out the UFO outside of the plane and all of a sudden it is gone, now you look like a madman on a plane in post 9/11 america.

I would't say "look, an UFO", I would ask other people "what is that?", that way other people would run the risk of looking mad.

I think the family was wise if they kept it to themselves. But there could be more witnesses and photos as the report shows this is recent and we only know what mufon has been told thus far. There could be a video of this thing on some fella's facebook, we'd never know until someone connects the dots.

If they wanted people to know they should provide the dots and the line to connect them, I never understood that "I want people to know but I will not show it" idea.
