iwas over at lpf the other day talking lasers and could a uv laser be used as a kinda ionized tunnel for highvoltage to traveldown.the final say was the laser blooms and dissipates. it would takea pulse type laser.
ive never been much for rules.

a while back, there was a company trying to make a wireless taser using the same process you described Robomont.
I 'm not sure if it panned out or not but they were using a UV laser to ionize the air and create current channels.
the biggest problem I could see was someone getting hit in the eyes, it'd probably blind you :(
companies name was hsvt or something

yes.i have a 1500 mw 445 nm blue hand held laser.they are highly dangerous at that level.uv would be even more dangerous as its harder to see.except at night.plus the uv may cause skin cancer.
a dual laser system would be better as one side would be high voltage positive and other side high voltage negative.they would short out on body.
im now thinking maybe dual microwave beams.
a single beam would mean the thing has to short through both folks bodies sender and reciever..dual beam would be all reciever.
