It was a dork and starmy night.  The rain had been pouring down relentlessly as our intrepid little group drove though the streets of Denver.  The other adult in the car referred to the storm as bulls***.  I corrected her, saying that thankfully, it was only rain, as bulls*** would be much more difficult for the windshield wipers to clear.  Upon reaching our destination,  we waded through the pond surrounding the museum,  and made our way inside.  At last!  Warmth!  Light!  Food!  After dining on the lovely buffet, we rode the escalator to the third floor.   Amazingly, no children were injured in the process.   We made our way to the Paleo lab, where we able to observe the tedious process of disinterring fossils from their encasements.  It was reminiscent of the process of dragging myself out of bed at 4:45 a.m.  From there,  we visited the Gates Planetarium where we were treated to a simulated voyage through our solar system.   The night ended with us wading back through the pond to our car, and then driving home through the canals of Venice.  I mean Denver.
