Elon Musk says build a city on Mars

I guess one success can lead to another, in this game of space exploration!! If one can land a rocket vertically, then maybe most anything may possible!!

Elon Musk now has thoughts of building a city on Mars!! That may be technically easier to accomplish than landing a rocket vertically, who knows!!

Super-rich tech guru dreams of setting up permanent home on the Red Planet - but would anyone want to live there?

Elon Musk and his firm, SpaceX, made history yesterday after sending a reusable Falcon 9 rocket into the air and then landing it vertically back on Earth.

But this self-styled " super villain " doesn't want to stop scrawling his name onto the annals of posterity just yet.

The billionaire has claimed that one of his future projects could involve building a city on Mars - an achievement which would make him one of the most famous humans of all time.

At a press conference held after the rocket landing, Musk discussed the possibility of putting settlers on the Red Planet.

"I think it really quite dramatically improves my confidence that a city on Mars is possible," he said.

"That's what all this is about."

Well a City on Mars is feasable  (not counting the bases already up there )

And yes many would jump for the chance to go...

they may regret it once they get there but they WOULD go

A city would definitely involve a small fleet of support ships travelling back and forth. This would be well beyond the one way trip colony type plans we have mostly seen proposed.

I love Elon Musk's thinking to get everyone out of the old thinking, I really do!

But hey I do have one bone to pick with him.  I had a Tesla Car parked out the front of my house last night... Why O Why is it such a big hunk of metal when like any car it will carry one person.  Efficiency in Electricity is lost in his vehicle design.  Cool idea though and it take's someone to make people think... to make people think is why I like him!
