My first exposure to the Praying Mantis Alien concept came from reading the GOR Novels, in particular:



"Priest-Kings of Gor (Gor #3) by John Norman"

The cover art is by Boris Vallejo and is his impression of a Mantis Alien from the story. In the novels, these various population groups are transplants from Earth brought there by space-craft through the behind-the-scenes rulers of Gor, the Priest-Kings, an extraterrestrial species of insectoid appearance. The Gorean humans are permitted advanced architectural, agricultural and medical skills (including life extension), but are forced to remain primitive in the fields of transportation, communication and weaponry (at approximately the level of Classical Mediterranean civilization) due to restrictions on technology imposed by the Priest-Kings. This limitation is imposed to ensure the safety of both the Priest-Kings, as well as the other indigenous and transplanted beings on Gor, who would otherwise possibly come to harm due to humans' belligerent tendencies.

The planet Gor has lower gravity than the Earth (which allows for the existence of large flying creatures, and tall towers connected by aerial bridges in the cities), and would have an even lower gravity if not for the technology of the Priest-Kings.  This book was published in 1968

August 16, 1945. San Antonio, New Mexico

Reme Baca, Jose Padilla. "Praying Mantis" described on CoastToCoastAM interview. Padilla described the crash as sounding like a sonic boom, and thought it could have been an atomic bomb test. The crashed object, he said, was around 35 ft. in diameter, and 15 ft. high. Baca said they witnessed thin-bodied creatures inside the craft, resembling "praying mantises," while Padilla characterized them as three little men who were rushing back and forth like they were injured. The boys returned to the crash site two days later with adults, and the creatures were gone, but the craft was still there.

1950. Georgia USA

       

Praying mantis-creature encountered around noon time by David Huggins at Georgia farm when he was eight in 1950. He associated entity with small, grey beings, which David thought were androids programmed to do work for the praying mantis and tall humanoids.

November 26, 1972. Near Zamora, California

Judy Kendall. Present were five entities of frightening appearance; with insect like eyes and a pale, or white translucent skin through which was visible a number of red veins. They wore an outfit with a turtleneck top that apparently concealed the lower portion of their faces. She is told that no harm will come to her but the voice does not appear to be spoken normally, sounding more like it came through a megaphone.

1973. Cooksville, Maryland

Mike Shea was driving toward Olney to meet a friend when about 15 minutes outside of Baltimore he noticed a beam of light strike a barn 150 feet from his car. He then saw a huge hovering object with a ring of alternating red & yellow lights. The object was totally silent.

When the beam of light shut off Shea became fearful. He felt something coming up behind him. Suddenly he saw the object overhead and felt an electric current running down his spine. The next thing he knew he was feeling quite relaxed and was approaching his destination. He had somehow lost two hours of time. Years later under hypnotic regression he remembered seeing four figures standing at the side of the road.

He then realized the figures were creatures dressed in a black kind of plastic armor. They had black faces and appeared to be wearing helmets with a line down the middle that came to a point. The beings looked like huge grasshoppers with long arms and bowed legs. Three of the creatures were large.

The fourth one was small and wore a black silky suit with a zipper up the front, somehow this being seemed "ancient" to the witness. He then saw a large shiny craft hovering nearby emitting a low whirring sound and a smaller craft on the ground. Eventually he was taken inside one of the crafts, put on a table, and examined. Various organic samples were collected from his body.

November 18, 1980. Cambridge, Ontario Canada

               



The main witness and her son were traveling on Pinebush Road when she spotted some bright lights approaching from the east. The witness pulled over and stopped the car thinking that it was an airplane in distress. The lights now approached and stopped nearby, the witness could now see a dark metallic dome shaped craft behind the light. Now more lights turned on, on top of the hovering craft. The witness now felt hypnotized by the lights, she then had a floating sensation and felt drawn towards the craft.

Here next recollection was of seeing the craft shoot straight up and disappear. Later under hypnosis she recalled being taken into a small craft that was cold inside, then into a larger object. She was then surrounded by numerous short ugly beings with large bright eyes that were somewhat insect like. She was then taken through a long tunnel with rough edges. She then entered a room with bright lights, there her clothes were removed, and she was medically examined.

The beings communicated by using telepathy and told the witness she had been "rejected." Another being with three eyes was apparently in charge and commanded the others. She was finally released. The witness suffered many painful after effects similar to some type of radiation damage. Her son was apparently not abducted.

Insectoid Alien Abduction Leaves Man with Strange Hands

Years ago, in 1987 on a North Canol Road, an incident supposedly occurred.

Report by Martin Jasek. Abductee "Kevin" stated the following:
"In August or September 1987 (later determined to be Wednesday September 2, 1987), I left Ross River (where I lived) and headed up the North Canol Road by myself on my motor bike for moose (hunting)." ...

I noticed to the left out of the corner of my eye, what I first thought was an airplane. It was 400 to 500 yards away and about the size of a DC-3 plane or a full-size school bus. It was travelling north to south, at about 40 yards above ground and moving maybe 30 km/h. Right away I thought "boy is he low". I blinked my eyes because I couldn't make out any tail fin or wings.

It had what looked like portholes all along the side of it. It was cigar shaped with a grey strip down the middle and a dark green on top and bottom.

I thought to myself, "something's wrong with this picture", then I realised there was no sound! If it was an airplane, the roar would have filled the valley. ...As I watched, it seemed to partially dematerialize and then return to solid form, it did this as it was moving, a couple of times. ...

I crouched down on the road, hiding behind the roadside grass.

I then watched it go behind a cone-shaped hill and not come out. I stood up looking for it and feeling very excited and happy about what I saw and thinking they didn't even know they were being watched.

I was standing beside my bike when I heard a loud metallic clunk behind me around the corner.

Right away I thought, somebody must be here and I've got to tell them what I saw. The noise I heard sounded like a heavy trunk lid on a car slamming shut.

               

I quickly walked along the edge of the road to the corner to see who was there. I came face to face (about 20 yards) with 2 grey creatures in blue jump suits, about 5 ft. tall with big insect looking heads, pointy faces, big eyes, thin arms, body and legs. I immediately thought "they're not little green men*, they're grasshopper people". ...

At that same instant, the one on the left raised his left hand to his waist, which held some type of flashlight device and I saw a bright flash of light come from it. I instantly felt paralyzed and was convinced time had stopped, everything was black, no sound. I tried to yell "No!" but all that came out was a distorted grunt.

Next thing I knew I was standing on the side of the road scared, shaking and confused. Within seconds I remembered all of this that had just taken place and I thought, "I'm getting out of here before they get me again." I turned around to get my bike and for some reason it was not there, then I noticed it was on the other side of the road. I said to myself, "what the hell is this? I didn't put it there". Still panicking I rushed over and got on it and realized the keys were gone.

I always left the keys in it, that way I could not lose them while sneaking around in the bush. I immediately started looking down the road and suddenly saw them in my hand. I started my bike and raced back to the trailer.
I was feeling scared and amazed at the same time and then noticed that all the shadows of the trees were pointing in a different direction than that of the morning sun. About 15 minutes later I was at the trailer. Half an hour later it was dark. I thought "no way, I only left here an hour ago, what's going on?"

I was really confused then, I said to myself, "I'm not telling anybody about this, I'll just forget the whole thing"....

[Just Looking]

Two points that I would like to mention are:- 1. I had never heard of these types of alleged aliens before and 2. I have always had a fascination
with Earth's insect version. They are cold blooded killers who dislike every other creature and whilst I have never even really damaged a human,
well apart from myself by falling off motorcycles that is, I am not very sympathetic towards fellow humans. 

Perhaps I have a minuscule amount of their alien DNA that makes me like I am?

Please quantify the above statement; how do you specifically know and empirically prove that to be factual...
