If you read the article, this kid just duplicated what a 14 year old did in 2008, his goal being to be the youngest to have ever achieved this; it isn't actually a practical working reactor, just a table top fusor that does one atom at a time...

but it is a start towards one day perhaps having working, stable, steady state fusion reactors that produce clean, cheap energy...

this ain't it

The implementation of aetherically based (I'm not going to call it "free," because it is not; it comes from somewhere, and you require at least an initial reaction in order to start producing it) energy has two major problems, and neither of them are directly related to the technology itself.

a}  The psychopathic minority who intend to suppress it, literally do not care who, or how many people they have to kill, in order to keep it suppressed.  They are willing to kill literally anyone; and there is no way to overcome an attitude like that.

b}  The majority of the public are fundamentally unwilling to believe that such technology exists or is possible, due to the education system.  As a result, anyone who tries to implement or develop it is going to be dismissed as a crank on a reflexive basis.

The establishment has very largely killed any belief in individually proveable empiricism at this point.  We're close to being pre-Galileo again now, in the sense that the majority accept what they are told by centralised academia, because to do otherwise could cause them to become socially unacceptable; and the most fundamental concern of most people, is maintaining a positive relationship with the rest of the collective.

To the extent that the ideology of rugged individualism held mainstream public favour, it only ever really did so that billionaires would have a means of justifying their own behaviour, when said behaviour was collectively criticised.  These days, however, said billionaires have realised that it's actually more conducive to their interests, to promote individuality only to their own children, while encouraging total collectivism in everyone else; because human beings lose the ability to think clearly or rationally when they are in a large enough group, which in turn makes them much easier to externally control.

Unfortunately, I must say I agree.  The medias, drugs and enforcement of laws concerning drugs are tools apparently being used to manipulate the masses,

just as you stated above. They have worked for years to keep the hard drugs (heroine, cocaine, schedule 1 drugs) flowing into society, while coming

down on other drugs that have proven to be beneficial for humans in some ways.  Like marijuana being made a schedule 1 drug so they can make money

(marijuana is/was very popular) by arresting people for it and at the same time keep as many people as possible from using it. (They don't like the affect

marijuana has on the mind.) At the same time condoning alcohol use that is highly detrimental to health, and often makes people violent. (They like this.)

Going along with the quoted statement above, having people in a mob/like state makes it easy for them to be controlled.

A whisper in the crowd of a mob takes holed quickly and influences the whole group. This is a powerful tool to control the largest part of the population.

It's apparent they want us drugged and violent. This also instills a scene of fear among people and fear is a powerful manipulator too.

These said billionaires have done a good job creating this situation and seemingly use it very well.  At this point its difficult to see any way to combat this

dastardly deed.

Very nice post! petrus4.
