That's bloody huge!!
Does it get it's name because it eats humming birds?
:c)

Fruitbat.

P.S. I'm somewhat scared of moths since I was almost killed by one a few years back...

yep those are my pics....but it was the first time i have ever seen four at once and they absolutely refused to stay in one place long enough for me to take their pic..lol
when you see them as catapillars you have to know which they are cause they look a lot like tomoto horn worms and tabacco horn worms

i was going to do an epic garden thread but  i've been canning in the heat and just don't have the desire to sit and move pics around..
i should be caught up today with the cukes and elderberries sooooooooooo watch out..
it's comingggggggggggggggggg...bwhahahahahahahah

;) ;D

How was that? ???

Fruitbat

Well, I have never liked the creatures really, in fact used to find them revolting, in my 20's although I grew up since then.

Anyway, I was travelling down shaftsmoor lane at about 80mph on my bike with a passenger and some huge THING slapped into my forehead.
The wings were fluttering in my eyes and it's juices were rolling down my the side of my nose... Eurghh! Freaked me out it did, not to mention my PX because apparently I got the back wheel up in the air during the braking that followed this event. I HAD to get my helmet off quickly.

Still, it dd make me go out and buy a new visor so as I could ride with it down after that event (my old one was scratched to pieces which is why I had it up on the day in question)...

FB!

that story is hilarious.

always wanted to grow bac choi correctly.
my neighbor dozered his land and let me throw out my leftover seeds.if the rain keeps up i may have some collards and mustard greens.

i havent seen any of these moths since the thread started.i may search for them tomorrow.
