every dang year i say less tomatoes..and that's what we've done.. but we still have them everywhere...time to do the juice

this is out by the green house.. each plant has about 4 dozen tomatoes.. early girl and better boy cultivars..both inderterminates

if it wasn't fenced it would be gobbled up by the deer

out front.. on the west side of the house ..less weather ..last year we had fresh tomatoes past thanksgiving... i've been pickin some of them for BLT's

three plants in the new garden..stakes weren't heavy enough so hubby had to erect an overhead thingie..lol

and last but not least another five in my kitchen garden..that's  basil inbetween..lemon and regular

oh yeah i forgot these two.. i bought them for a timing thing.. mine from seeds were faster..

My favorite fruit?  Avocado.  Second favorite? TOMATO!  I adore freshly juiced tomatoes.  And now...  My mouth is watering even more than with the last bunch of yummy pics!

Can I come live at Your place?  I'll find a rock to crawl under.  Really I will.  Just so long as I can have the tomatoes!  [grin]

Very sweet of You, and who knows...  I may come visiting.  But I have plans coming up.  So I'll take a raincheck for now.  (Now where did I put that tissue.  I'm drooling!)

Now I know I need some sleep, I thought you just posted planting those plants last week! How time flys.
If it was me they would all be dead after a few days. You guys with greem thumbs feed the world.

I am going home and eating a tomato. Maybe 2

I miss having a yard. It is hard to plant tomatoes in concrete.

That reminded me of my grandfather.

We had a small (20 x 18 metres) garden, and when my grandfather was alive (he died in 1977) he kept all the plants alive and giving fruit. Sometimes he planted tomatoes, once he planted one of those small varieties, and we (me, my sisters and my brother) played with them, eating them in the end.

My grandfather was one of those persons that can do anything with plants, he once mixed a cabbage (a tall variety, not one of those that are always close to the ground) with a carnation, resulting in a cabbage with a carnation flower. :)
