Sky Otter posted a thread in the humor section "This is How To Run a Country". Well on the more serious side, the state of Oklahoma is doing some things that address just a few of today's problem areas. A lot of things in this country are just out of whack, and all states need to step-up to the bar, and do those things which are within Constitutional "States Rights" to do.

There is much to be done to preserve every aspect of this country's greatness, and the greatness of its people and industry. States should be leading and directing in helping turn this country around, while reducing somewhat forced dependence of states upon the Federal government.

Here is a link to a recent news article concerning new laws in the state of Oklahoma, that give us a little insight into what states can do, if they are willing to "bite the bullet"! Even these "small" things can give us some hope for the success of needed major changes in the future.

The link includes a video relative to the new Oklahoma "open carry" gun law, and the written article covers several other important changes to their laws.

Welcome to Oklahoma.  Please turn your clock back sevent-five years.  In the late 1980's Oklahoma repealed the law making a woman the legal property of her husband.  In 1978, twilight sleep was still a preferred method of managing labor pains for women.  In 1999 tattooing was still illegal in Oklahoma.

I still miss Oklahoma.  I'd go back if the right opportunity came along.

Nope!!! And we certainly should not be throwing guns over the border, to Mexican drug lords/cartels either. Just how far down the "stupid bell-curve" does that action go?? And, for the most part, not much has been done to this day, to bring to true light the total reality of this act of stupidity in the current administration. So so sad!!

Too many members of Congress who have forgotten why they are there.  They serve themselves and their own interests instead of serving the people who elected them.

I'm having a very downward spiraling day today, and trying to think of a good reaon not to just head for Oklahoma and disappear for a while.  I hear the waters of the Verdigris calling to me.  The urge to drive across Oologah reservoir on the Winganon ramp.  The memories of. Double Creek Cove and Poor Boy's Landing.  I'm hurting today and I'm by myself and the pain won't let up.
