The day that Albert Einstein feared may have finally arrived.

Having coffee with friends.

A day at the beach.

Having dinner out with your friends.

Out on an intimate date.

Having a conversation with your BFF

A visit to the museum

I agree that we are into the cusp of what Einstein feared. And, as humans become more like cattle, the greater will be their idiocy, I believe.

On the basis of Einstein's quote, I will offer what should be the rest of that story~~~~~~~:

"I look forward to the day
      when our human interaction
            leaps beyond the constraints
                   of technology,

AND BIRTHS FOREVER GENERATIONS OF GENIUS"!

(as I said, on the basis of Einstein's quote)

The Seeker

Otter, the I generation started to develop and become a reality when video games and PC's became household items; I am the operations manager for a small company that does a large amount of business in our field, mostly labor intensive and does require good mechanical skills with a side of practical knowledge spiced with common sense;
for the last 18 months I have interviewed hundreds of applicants wanting a job but 99% lack the skills or expect to make mega bucks just for showing up, and heaven forbid them having to do anything other than punch the clock...
out of the entire mass I have managed to hire 2 under the age of 50 that have worked out and actually made it pass the probationary period...

need I say more?

There's no evidence that Einstein ever said that, as most quotes attributed to him. :)

The problem is not technology or people using it (that's why technology exists), it's the people that think that technology solve all problems and stop using other things.

The Internet, for example, is no substitute for teaching children, although it's an excellent tool to find information about every topic, and it shouldn't be used instead of a teacher.

My sister is a teacher (although this year she couldn't find a job as a teacher), and last year she noticed that the younger students (maybe 12 to 15) thought that most of the technology they use today was invented recently, an example being computers, which they thought were invented more or less when they were born.

Expecting children to be self-taught in all topics with the help of technology is idiotic and proves that idiocy is already spread throughout the world.

PS: I don't have a cell-phone. :)

ah ArMap
it was only an e-mail  that i thought funny
but
as ususal you have stepped up with your correction and made me think about it (ty)
and
of course i had to  look to see if anyone ever did say it

i don't have a cellphone either and if this computer has one more fit
i will pull the plug and go primitive..hahahahahahahahah

this is what i have found:

-------------Misquote--------------
I do not know who said the exact quote you are asking about, but it is often linked to Albert Einstein. Einstein did say
"It has become appallingly clear that our technology has surpassed our humanity"
when he was questioned about the atomic bomb.

My days at the beach are spent getting sunburned and herding four kids.  None of said four is usually going the same direction.

As for conversations.  Two nights ago hubby and I were stretched out in bed chatting.  I got a little chill, and said "a possum crossed my grave."  That led to an explanation of the idiom, along with a comparison to the idiom of "people dancing on my grave."  From there, I segued into visions of a possum dancing on my grave.  After the idiom "drr your drawers," was mentioned, we moved on to possums wearing boxers, tophat and holding a cane doing the softshoe on my grave.  It being the Christmas season, it eventually became possums in Santa hats and pointy toed elf shoes, dancing on my grave while holding candy canes and wearing holiday themed boxers.
