Moon mines, pyramids and cities by David Hatcher Childress

David Hatcher Childress (born 1957) is an American author and publisher of books on topics on alternative history and historical revisionism. His works cover such subjects as pre-Columbian trans-oceanic contact, Atlantis, Lemuria, Ancient Astronauts, UFOs, Nikola Tesla, the Knights Templar, lost cities and vimana aircraft. Childress claims no academic credentials as a professional archaeologist nor in any other scientific field of study, having left the University of Montana after one year to travel and research subjects about which he would later write.

When I first met John at ATS he showed me a book by David  and that started my hunt for anomalies on the Moon. John told m it was that book that got him started so I guess we could say that David Hatcher Childress was the grandfather of Lunar Anomaly Hunters

So I will use this thread to present David's information.

Lets start with a youtube vide that is older but features David himself

Life and career

Born in France to American parents, and raised in Colorado and Montana, United States, Childress began travelling at 19 in pursuit of archaeological interests. He moved in 1983 to Stelle, Illinois, a community founded by New Age writer Richard Kieninger. He had been given a book by Kieninger while touring Africa. Childress chronicled his explorations in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s in his Lost Cities and Ancient Mysteries series of books.

Childress' first book, A Hitchhikers Guide to Africa and Arabia, was published in 1983 by Chicago Review Press. In 1984, Childress moved to Kempton, Illinois and established a publishing company named Adventures Unlimited Press, which is a sole proprietorship. His company published his own works and then those of other authors, presenting fringe-scientific theories regarding ancient civilizations, cryptozoology, and little-known technologies. [1][3] In 1991, Childress founded the World Explorers Club, which occasionally runs tours to places he writes about, and publishes a magazine called World Explorer".

Childress has appeared on NBC (The Mysterious Origins of Man), Fox Network (Sightings and Encounters), Discovery Channel, A&E, and History (e.g. Ancient Aliens), to comment on subjects such as the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantis, and UFOs. He has been involved in two lawsuits regarding publishing. One, concerning the Kennedy assassination, failed after expiry of a statute of limitations and the other, involving an unpublished master's thesis about UFOs written in 1950, was settled out of court. Childress writes humorously about these suits in his 2000 book A Hitchhiker's Guide to Armageddon.

In over 25 years of publishing, Childress' company has created nearly 200 books, many of which have been translated into foreign languages.

Great idea for a thread, Zorgon, most folks never get to see much more of him aside from ancient aliens..Childress does what we all dream of..he travels the world visiting numerous sites and meeting dignitaries and high level researchers, all the while adding to his repertoire of knowledge, and all this without a degree from any mainstream college.

My opinion is that for whatever far fetched stuf he may have theorized or presented through the years, hes been right well enough to make up for any less than correct ideas.

Hes OK in my book....

David also haunts around Peru a lot with Brien Foerster, and sometimes gives specialized tours along with Brien, of one I am supposed to attend in late 2013, along with another great researcher, Michael Cremo, well known writer of the popular book Forbidden Archaeology.

Great theoretical minds like Childress come along very seldomly and folks like him have a special approach, he kind of reminds me of John Lear a bit....

Cheers!

Ok, I'm sitting here watching this video about the moon and other 'out-worldly' things and I'm thinking to myself, "I've seen this guy somewhere before". I know it's an old video but I still can't put my finger on it until I read the whole Bio. 'Ancient Aliens' thats where I've seen him. I liked him better then as to now...lololol...interesting stuff to say the least.

I know I mostly concentrate on moon topics, but I'm really a newbie when it comes to the moon anomaly scene. There's so much to catch up on. I'm trying to find and read all the books such as 'From Outer Space to you" & "Moongate: Surpressed findings of the US Space program", "We discovered Aliens bases on the Moon"...So much to do and so little time.

Thanks Zorgon.....

The living Moon is where I cut my teeth on things dealing with the moon among many other things relating to outer space.  There are many contributors on Living Moon that really kept my interest.  I am grateful for the time and material that they have placed here.  It really put me in another world so to speak.  So much to discover and so little time. (I think you said that)

Yet another item I consider "compulsory viewing" upon entering into this topic :) I Like David Childress, his observations and theory's fit well with me.Never seen the whole Video till now, I have seen him talk in some of the UFO type documentary's & I may even have one of his books.
Some great moon pic's there, Just more evidence to support what TLM/PRC have been saying for years.

I do think some of the Luna surface footage from the Apollo missions looks like it's been done with models. Marcus Allen of NEXUS Magazine has done some great work also showing this may be the case.
Nikola Tesla humanitarian / Genius.
never forget this great man who gave so much
& asked for nothing but to let electricity be free for all.

I Like David.  I live in IL and I've met him down at his store.  Adventures Unlimited.  He Held a conference in that small town of Kempton and had various speakers come into town.  He is down to earth and has a genuine interest in the mysteries of this planet and and us.
