From the article:-

Did you hear about the 800 esteemed scientists who came together and demanded the production of genetically modified crops and products be stopped? Scientists who called on world powers to re-evaluate the future of agriculture and seek sustainability rather than corporate profits? Don't be surprised if you haven't, as the mainstream media won't touch this one.

Eight-hundred scientists did make such a demand. They made it first over a decade ago and they have updated it over the years, adding signatures and release dates. Still global powers have all but ignored their calls.

This isn't all one way.  People are fighting back.  Does anyone hear know about the recent March Against Monsanto?

Yes but apparently not a whole lot of MS coverage.   But people are takin' it to the streets and spreading the word.

Things start to be come crystal clear now of possibly why  this seed vault started at the same time GMO's started coming out.   It is now has been sealed recently and fully operating.

Svalbard Seed vault

Mission

The Svalbard Global Seed Vault's mission is to provide a safety net against accidental loss of diversity in traditional genebanks. While the popular press has emphasized its possible utility in the event of a major regional or global catastrophe, it will certainly be more frequently accessed when genebanks lose samples due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts and natural disasters. Such events occur with some regularity. In recent years, some national genebanks have also been destroyed by war and civil strife. There are some 1,400 "crop diversity collections" around the world, but many are in politically unstable or environmentally threatened nations.

That's seed vault is a gigantic elephant in the room.

As GMOs came along and are still being feverishly worked on by sevral huge companies, we have to wonder..when we all have perished from the modification of genetic material in every food we eat, and our last generation is completely sterile..then those who spearheaded this seed vault will step forward from their hidey holes and begin anew the beauty of fully organic and non GMO foods for themselves and the select few who make it through the storm.

My guess is none of my, or your, descendants will be there for that....

It truly is difficult to stop a juggernaut which is drunk with profits and control...it will take many more than "800 scientists" to make a difference... it, at some point, might require physical confrontation between society and these insane factions.

But, for now Monsanto and Bayer..along with others, will keep crying out "damn the torpedoes" while the worlds genetics become so disturbed, we wont have long to fight and resist before we are too sick and weak to do so.

Luckily, we still have options, in the organic food industry....our only savior in this sick battle for our health.

Good luck.

If it comes to that, Dave, you can be sure that we will see Monsanto being defended by the same people that are currently being thanked in the Memorial Day thread.  It's as I've often said before; I don't resent the troops for killing people.  I resent them for killing the wrong people.
