I had to explain to her that the French do not require the listing of ingredients like we do... but it came from the same vats :P
When was that? The EU requires the list of ingredients on everything.

Most vinegar in Portugal is "wine vinegar". :)

Well if you would drink MORE WINE... it wouldn't turn to Vinegar :P

Not on goods that are baked like bread or pastries.  You can buy that without the ingredients listed in the UK.  I bet there are other exceptions.  I suspect many alcoholic beverages do not have all ingredients listed.  Also how come Coka Cola can list "vegetable products"?  That is not an ingredient.

If they are sold in packages, yes.

I don't have any Coca Cola to see, but I have a bottle of Pepsi near me and the only non-identifed ingredient is "flavouring" (or similar).

Here is a tidbit, my favorite hot sauce....Tobasco.
The vinegar in it is wheat vinegar, this I learned from
calling the company.  :)

Just to complete the information, Coca Cola says "natural flavourings".  :)

I knew that really.  I just wanted to be sure you were as obsessed by facts as I try not to be.

I fail though and have to try to get the facts in the end.

May I point out that "natural" on any label means nothing?  Arsenic is "natural."  GMO is "natural" in the sense that it is a product of Our natural tendency to mess with things.

Would prefer a list of actual ingredients.

yes it does :P

THIS is NATURAL

EVERYTHING in the UNIVERSE is made up off these 118 materials

EVERYTHING

PS I see Bob's stuff is now officially on the list :D

Amaterasu

No it doesn't, z.  It's added to make You FEEL like it means organic or what People used to eat before the fake and frankenfoods arrived.  But yeah.  All it means is that You're eating those elements - which is meaningless.

I would have to agree that the periodic table is a list of natural items. Some of which we can digest. Man makes many things out of the items we can't eat. I would not consider them to be natural anymore. They are man made. Selective breeding is one thing but when they mess around with the genes and have no idea how it will effect mankind, that is another thing.

The idea of being forced to buy their food or starve is going to cause big problems in the future. Big brother is taking over America and the pres is helping them. It is a wonder people are not revolting yet. You can get over 100 different cable TV hookups in NYC but one must only buy Monsanto? What is going on there. I leave for a few years and the place goes to pot.

I guess lucky for me all the local farmers grow as natural as they can. They also produce their own seeds from year to year. A percentage of the crops are allowed to get old and seed out. I can't imagine the Gob stepping in and forceing them to only use Monsanto seeds that will not produce seeds.

What a crazy world this has become.
