Indeed that event happened with greer in attendance but a fellow traveler who was to make an appearence there as well stated, they stole his luggage and personal belongings to show he was not welcomed.

That attendee is none other than Douglas Dietrich who said virgin airlines owned by branson, stole his gear and never found it at the virgin terminal in australia.

And do We not count these exchanges of information in some way Human interaction?

No human interaction would require them to put down the phone and actually talk to each other  After all they are all in the same room  :D

But They don't know these People around Them?  They have some relationship with the One(s) They are trading data with.

How do you know? It could even be a set up :P But if what you say is true... why are they afraid to actually use that phone and talk to their ONE?

::)

and you say 'trading data' that doesn't sound like 'human relations' to me ;)

LOL!  That's all two way communication is - trading data.  Sorry if My approach to the subject is...I dunno...geeky in nature?

I don't know.  Thus My question mark.  Did Ya miss it?  Yes, We don't know the whole story of the picture.

It might surprise a few people here, to learn that I do not use a mobile phone, or any other handheld device.  I think they are evil things.

I keep wondering....... suppose telepathy or a supernatural empathy (Troi on Startrek) has been long denied to the human race?  Suppose this useful and greatly pacific facility was then to be installed within people en masse?  If this were scheduled to happen fairly soon,  what changes might we observe in society?

Large numbers of people engaging in ever more intimate and immediate communication - such as going from a hand cranked phone ....... to walking thru NYC talking out loud with a Borg-like clip on their ear.... to Google glasses...... to cyber implants(?)

I would also expect massive exposure of all matters sexual and emotionally explosive, as being made intimately aware of others day to day thoughts could be terrifying.  You would have to get used to it.

In addition, political structures would have to be reformed to cope with such a development.  Even a little would change things greatly (Arab Spring).

Are there reports of aliens who possess a kind of electronic telepathy? (Tall Whites maybe?)

So, whether natural or wireless, these trends might be good.  I don't know how I stumbled into this optimism, I certainly had none of it in my youth.

I don't have a mobile phone because I do not like phones, mobile or otherwise, as they force me to stop doing what I am doing to answer the calls.

They are mostly a waste of time. ;D

I used it several times, but, from my experience, it only works with some people and in some directions.

For example, I was able to, more than once, tell my younger sister to something natural, and she did it. The last time I "told" her to see what time it was, and as soon as I thought it she looked at the clock, then turned to me and stopped, as she realised that I hadn't said a thing.

I had a neighbour with who (or whom? I never know what I should use) I did that, I just had to mentally call her name and she looked back at me, even if she was already some 100 metres away.

I was never aware of being able to "catch" any telepathic messages myself.

PS: I never had any case in which I was trying to "call" someone and someone else "answered".

Don't you think we are catching telepathic messages all the time?
Not as language or commands as such but as general ideas and cultural swaying.
I firmly believe in the collective conscious. When I used to write and I was looking for titles etc, all around me would be folk using the same type of names at any given time.

I think it's cyclical and we have no idea ( most of us  ) that its going on.

But I would argue that it is.

I'm pretty sure We are missing that.  Whether it was deliberate on the part of the geneticists who created Our DNA strain is unknown.

I think it's very powerful and we need to embrace it.

It's happened for me in other ways,
Sometime a song would pretty much write itself, and I just felt like the shmuck who was there to get it on paper.

There are more things in heaven and earth horatio ;)
