Skype temporarily lost control of its social media accounts as hackivist group Syrian Electronic Army gained access.

In a brazen attack to kick off the brand-new year, the Syrian Electronic Army (SEA) hacker group briefly took control of the Microsoft Skype service blog as well as its Facebook and Twitter accounts Jan. 1.

The SEA is an online hacktivist group that is loosely affiliated with the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

What would be a good mode of communicating instead of Skype since it seems to get hacked?  I know everything can be hacked  but there must be more secure ways to communicate...

You also mentioned Faceplant and twiter got hacked. I will go back to the can on a string. In the meantime I have my trustworthy Chinese Tom Skype with built in links to the gubermint so I don't have to worry. I say Hi to the gang all the time. They like when I call, they get to learn English for free.

Pim, this is the world we live in, go get a 50 dollar used computer and join us. While you are hiding in some corner waiting for the internet police to stop this, we are out there having a lot of fun and getting work across. So what if they can read/hear it on Skype. Everything we do ends up here anyways. They just get an advance copy.

I am not going to stop my life on account of being tracked. They track every single thing I do now. Ask Robo how he is tracked and he is in the states. This is what computer tech in their hands has done. Either toss it or enjoy it. "Freedom" is now a nasty word for being disconnected from our world.

Well,the way i figure it...with my life 4 kids bad credit some collections...i like to take the risks LOL if they steal my identy to bad man there stuck with now !!!!!LOLLOL  see nothing to lose maybe then i can get help to pay this crap off! LOL   on serios note but still funny my husbnd had his identy  stolen and not only were they illegal entry to the us had hardly any school and barely spoke english,this guy mnaged to maake 30 thousand more a year then my husbaand!  the only way we  found out at that time the i  r  s   sent a letter of audit syiny we owed 36,000 in back tax I called them verifyed my husbands where abouts and work in three states away! my husband at the time was a janitor their answer was it is not impossible to keep both jobs at the same time,huh two full times states away on the same days of the week.....so i seeked senators help they said i needed  to hire privte pi 10,000.00!I laughed said no i will find him and i did! called ins they said there was nothing they could do?...! what that is exactly what they do!called ss to get new # for him they this was not an emergency?that is an ss# emergency they hung up...I emailed the white  house....in the mean while i  needed to stop  this guy... so talking with the senetors office, he knew i located the imposter and ins would do nothing and he couldnt figure out why they wouldnt either,well at this time he (impote) was only one state away working, one state not to far to go right!! aparently it would be violating his rights ? so i just said fine i will have my husband quit his job,ill  file for child support and it wouldnt be long... senator offical just said wow... you are dangerous! LOL well with  3 kids at the time his bill would be alittle high.lol well the same day i recieved a letter from the white H sying we ccould get a new ss# and # to call if they faail to do so, I Got the problem desolved with no money zero audit and no bills! LOLOL

Just sheer incompetence, they always push for more laws to stop criminals, then they do not enforce those laws.
Then, when you do their job and find the criminal yourself, they still do nothing, something to do with 'violating their rights', what kind of BS is that??
Sadly it's the world we live in, i just hope that more peeps decide enough is enough. If the courts refuse to protect us, then we should quite rightly take the law into our own hands, and to hell with 'rights violation'

yea, i probably would have been finaicly better off just filling child support lol at his wages it would have been great second income!tax free!lol i geuss he would be tring to get back over the boarder then..... but that  is when he would have been caught the g  o   v  dont wana pay so that is when they ould take action.lol i have nothing againsst people wwhom want a better life aand job he evidently found aa better life wwith my husbands id then  husband had? wheres ironie? lol oh enjoy life is the only way to live. sorry about erros key board sucks!
