The Social Boundaries of Conspiracy Theory

Hey..I'm seeking some social advice on the boundaries of conspiracy theory..
In a nut shell I'm struggling to keep my mouth shut whilst undergoing my Uni studies..
My uni course work has an undertone of 'beware globalisation and the fate of humanity'..
But obviously in a way where it's just accepted, and not challenged  ::)

Just for lulz I posted the new study that found the US to be an Oligarchy rather than a Democracy to our study forum, and was curious to see what the tutors might say. One replied back and seems to have resigned himself to that being the only viable and ultimate method of governing, is there an alternative(?!). To which I just highlighted that there is nothing wrong in a constitutional republic providing the government can control it's own monetary system, and where the people can elect it's own officials, without corporate funding. I also suggested the last person to attempt to reform the American monetary system was shot dead on Nov 22nd 1963, whilst the same thing happened to Gaddafi, on a world stage, for even suggesting a shake-up in the African monetary system..

To emphasis my point I quoted Amschel Rothschild and provided Etonian (Eton) Parliamentary stats  ;D

Anyway, as an after thought, I'm left wondering how acceptable it is for me to mention these things, even in an 'off hand' manner.. I thought I'd find like minded Uni peeps, but as of yet I haven't..It's not that other peoples opinions will change what I feel the need to say, but does this have any deeper ramifications?

I wear my anti-new world order agenda on my sleeve.. It sure gets mixed reactions.
Do you all apply your agenda's openly also?
Has it presented obstacles? Has it over came them?

There's still a lot of hostility out there about conspiracy theories - however, I do believe that the trend is our friend in this.

I used to get flamed on some sites and now notice a rising chorus of like-minded people popping up.
Public opinion is rapidly shifting and politicians hardly know what to do about it.

I just don't understand how people can't see that conspiracies in government are neither rare nor infrequent.  The Elite want power and money and scheme up ways to get it - or keep it, in the case of 'old money'.  They dominate the media and are largely free from being arrested or punished.  What's unreasonable about conspiracies?

It depends on how unreasonable those conspiracies are. :)

If you look on main stream news and programs like the History and Discovery channels... conspiracy theory is becoming more and more mainstream

Why?

Several reasons

1) It sell news... because more and more people are talking about it

2) Many things that were conspiracy theory in the past have come to light to be proven true. That makes people think  even Fox news casters  :D

3) People like Jesse Venture, Edgar Mitchell and others that we consider to be in the loop, are coming out publicly To be sure money is motivayion, but none the less...

but as ArMaP says  it does depend on how wild the CT is  or more to the point WHO it is attacking.

If you were applying for a job at the White House, bashing Obama in CT's is likely not a good career move.

I usually speak my mind but sometimes I do think first what can happen.  Sometimes trying to state a simple opinion can trigger a tirade of counter attacks .

Thing is what we say and write these days CAN come back to bite you... so I would recommend caution  but specifically recheck what you said or plan to say  and check WHO will be hearing or reading it

well sinny  that is a question that has come up about all kinds of folk who have been labeled 'different' thur the years..
or who just  growing

so my answer would be it depends on who your audience is when you speak your truth..
i.e. are you preachin to the choir or  to the multitues from a stump..?

> yes i am open about who i am and what i believe in
but age has made me not need to prove it to anybody anymore
or inject it unless asked or provoked....
and it takes a lot to provoke me now

Has it presented obstacles?..of course....unless you are mingling with clones you will be tested on the strength of your beliefs
prove it or change or just shut  the hell up is the ususal response

have the obstacles been overcome....some
time is slow moving acid that either etchs in your point or erases it..

time/age also mellows out your need to shout to the world what you believe and helps you to live with joy in a world where you don't quite fit and never will

time/age allows you to give the other view as much space as you would like to have

i think what it comes back to is do you need confirmation of what you think to believe what you think?
or
does what you think need  to be tested - for your own self

almost everything we do and say all comes back to what we need to feel about our selves..

hope that has been an answer..i think you are a strong women
and and that you are working on the testing part of your agenda..
but hey just my observational opinion
;D

Challenge them to investigate for themselves and prove it wrong. If they take you up on it they might discover the same things you mentioned for themselves.  :)

Sinny, I want to add a statement Clifford Stone made to me in answer as to why he is being allowed to talk about alien involvement here on the third rock :"THEY(Ptb) aren't really concerned about what I say, just about what I can prove..."

Kinda shocked by the amount of wisdom there is on this thread.
I've almost gave up trying to convince folks.
Instead I just try to find a way to profit from the mass ignorance.
If these folks decide to bury their head in the sand.then they can't complain when their pocket gets picked.
Not that I'm a  thief, but at some point its more profitable to just go with the flow and make it work to your own personal agenda.

As most folks know,I speak my piece.not worrying about thin skin.a luxery most countries don't have.because of this.no country can succede above the USA.
Now as our privilege gets restricted, our country is falling into line with the European model of wussification.
Its the words that hurt that bring the biggest revelations not the kind thoughtful ones.
Or as in radio,shock jock.
To live this way will make you an outcast.nobody likes a know it all.but there is also safety in knowledge.
Being ahead of the curve or riding the wave is the best place to be in any situation.

I don't try to convince folks just inform them and I use a soft approach.  I also try to explain why I believe in the theory.  It doesn't matter if they accept it or not.  I believe that it is my duty to inform people of what I think as long as IT (whatever the theory) has an influence on the life of those around me.  Some listen and most do not.  My last employment I found more people silently believing in the some conspiracy theories that I believed in.  I was really surprised.  If people feel comfortable with your opinion, they are more apt to listen.  All too often some people try to jam a theory down your throat or even attack you verbally.  I just disregard them and move on.  I have had friends drop me because they thought my beliefs in some areas were crazy.  Well, they must have not been friends to begin with.  My motto is inform someone, guide someone and help someone today.  It works for me anyway.  I use to be the other type of person I just mentioned and it does not work.
From the past into the future any way I can...Educating...informing....guiding.

I paid for my openness about CT. I was marginalized at work. Then I got very ill and lost my job and I heard they said I went crazy. Very unkind people.

I keep my opinions to myself, mostly, having learned the hard way that the majority have their eyes closed as they move through life.

Fruitbat

VI, You must have been an unusually effective speaker!

I only get that reaction if I really put in a lot of effort.

People are often quite unkind, but if you think about it, for most people accepting even a small fraction of CT undermines most of their values and reasons for doing what they do. When you realise where your taxes go for example is a big disincentive to pay them, is it not? It's just much easier to attack you, than it is to become a rebel, which is what a resonable man has to become if he/she accepts the facts that CT reveal.

You made a difference at work, otherwise they wouldn't have have to try and stigmatise you. Whatever you do, keep spreading the word, you are obviously good at it! NO matter how blatant you are, providing you stick to basic CT, and don't go accusing people of being lizards in disguise, my experience suyggests that you'll keep some friends... They laughed at my radioation concerns at work, so I stopped talking about it and just slipped a geiger counter into my pocket on a regular basis... On the "hot" days I don't need to say NUTTIN! :c)

COSMO

I have a good friend that I met years ago on another job.  He is one of the brightest people I know, but knew nothing of what is being called conspiracy theories

It didn't take much really.  I showed him some info on the Georgia Guidestones, Denver airport and some other historical data about how our current economic system got started.  He would always call ME a conspiracy theorist...and I would always reply...it is NOT a theory!  lol

Well, it wasn't long and he was digging and learning more and more about how things REALLY are and how they got that way.  He no longer calls me a conspiracy theorist.  It's not a theory.  I think it is becoming pretty common knowledge actually.  I am constantly surprised by the people that are waking up to....things.

Cosmo

And you may ask yourself
Well...How did I get here?

sky otter

yeah it isn't a theory

and the next questions isn't   so what?

it's NOW what?

burntheships

@Cosmo,

Indeed...the status quo is not readily accepted by most these days.

You know things are a changing when the younger ones ask
"what really happened to MH370" at the Easter dinner table.

And @ Sky...yes since there is NO definitive answer...it really
is a "now what" moment.
