Massive new hole appears in Siberia

A mysterious giant hole spotted in northern Siberia has sparked an urgent expedition.

Aerial images posted on YouTube indicate a hole up to 80m wide in Yamal, a peninsula jutting into Arctic waters whose name translates as "the end of the world".

The hole was discovered by a helicopter crew working for an oil company in the gas-rich region, The Siberian Times reports.

A scientific expedition organised by the Yamal authorities will leave tomorrow to investigate. The team includes experts from Russia's Centre for the Study of the Arctic, the Cryosphere Institute of the Academy of Sciences and Russia's Emergencies Ministry.

The cause of the hole's sudden appearance is not yet known.

Looking at the hole...  Why do You suppose there is a ring of debris?  Like it was dug out or "popped" from below the surface, not like a sink hole.  Tres interesant.

This appears to be real, though I dont know the
cause of it, or if it is unusual.

A scientific team has been sent to investigate the hole and is due to arrive at the scene on Wednesday The Siberian Times reports.

The expedition includes experts from Russia's Centre for the Study of the Arctic, and the Cryosphere Institute of the Academy of Sciences.

They will sample the soil, water and air at the scene in order to determine the nature of the blow hole.

The crater was found in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, some 40 kilometres from the Bovanenkovo gas field. The peninsula, which sticks into Arctic waters, is the source of Russia's vast gas export market to Europe

Well, all I can say is that I am sure the "global warming" explanation is bunk.  But leave it to the the globalists and Their media puppets to make that claim.

Looks to me like a geological feature such as a dome-like mineral deposit collapsed into a draining aquifer which fed it for years, and the edges remained whilest the center crumbled into the void...thats why it appears to be "ejecta" when it is just what remains....the edges of the dome.
