Lot of shaking going on today  Chile gets hit by an 8.2  Vancouver Island gets a 4.7...

Thing is lit up like NORAD at Defcon 1   :o

noradwopr

You called NORAD?

Mr. Deuem, I know where one of them running-for-their-lives steak-on-the-hoof critters ended up.    ;)

From the range to your plate in 45 minutes.

"Shoot-your-own-dinner" sporting trips are the latest rage in Hollywood.

Always thinking, doing, maximizing profits from every angle, media mogul Ted Turner has again set the bar even higher in the 'unique dinners' niche.

There are those who rave about Dining in the Dark, but nothing beats the adrenalin blast from sending a .700 Nitro Express 1,000 meters downrange and seeing your dinner exploding into an iridescent red mist cloud!

The Turner bison herd across 14 ranches is approximately 55,000 bison, which is the largest private herd in the world.

Of course, the true aficionado leaps into action, draws his knife, scampers quickly to the still-quivering carcass and severs the throat, slurping the salty warm blood; alas, a tradition somewhat lacking in many of the finer restaurants in 'the city.'   :P

The Turner Mobile Hunting Lodge® has an on-board kitchen to prepare your truly-fresh kill to one's unique satisfaction.

While we're waiting for what's left of our bison to be prepared, we will share these pictures from the Annual Spring Hog Hunt on Ron Schmidt's exclusive mountain top/subterrainean estate in Nevada...so exclusive that we can't even mention the nearest town or we'd have to kill ourselves.   :P   We do know it's EMP hardened and has a back door to "Lake Thresher."   :P

Veerrrry tasty! Especially the pickled snout in the Waterford crystal Ron sent the hunt participant's for Holiday remembrances.

Aha! The dinner bell beckons us to the dining car.

At last... The pièce de résistance  !

Ummmmmmm...smell that sizzling bison ribeye....yummmmmm...

Of course, we sidelined a portion for tomorrow's lunch.   :P

An old family recipe to share.

Bison Burgers with Cabernet Onions and Wisconsin Cheddar Recipe

Yield
Makes 4 servings
Bison meat is very lean and is best served rare or medium-rare.

Ingredients
   •   2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
   •   3 cups sliced onions (about 2)
   •   3/4 cup Cabernet Sauvignon or other dry red wine
   •   1 pound ground bison (buffalo)
   •   2 tablespoons chopped shallots
   •   1/4 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
   •   1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
   •   4 organic hamburger buns
   •   6 ounces sliced Wisconsin white cheddar cheese
   •   Dijon mustard
   •   1 small head of escarole, leaves separated

Preparation
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in heavy medium skillet over medium- high heat.

Add onions, sprinkle with salt, and sauté until tender and golden brown, stirring often, about 10 minutes.

Reduce heat to medium and continue to sauté until very tender and well browned, about 15 minutes longer.

Add wine and cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed, about 5 minutes.

DO AHEAD: Can be made 3 days ahead. Cool, cover, and chill.

Preheat broiler.

Gently mix meat and next 3 ingredients in large bowl.
Shape into four 1/2-inch-thick patties.
Heat remaining 1 tablespoon oil in heavy large skillet over high heat.
Sprinkle burgers with salt and pepper; add to skillet.
Cook until well browned, about 2 minutes per side for medium-rare.

Open buns and arrange, cut side up, on rimmed baking sheet.
Place cheese slices on bun tops.
Broil until cheese melts and bottom halves are lightly toasted, about 1 minute.
Spread bottom halves with mustard.
Top each with a few escarole leaves, then burger.
Spoon onions atop burgers, dividing equally.
Cover with bun tops; press lightly.

Cheers    ::)

Yellowstone Volcano Eruption Effects: Entire World Would be at Risk if Supervolcano Erupts

Well, this is not all new information, but it is an August 1, 2014 news article. In this article, which has the diagram that has been posted in this thread more than once, it does say, "The Yellowstone-size eruption will occur. Of course, we have no idea when. It's being monitored very, very closely. So there is no chance of it occurring without any warning. But it's a devastating event".

It also says, Yellowstone erupted about 640,00 years ago, as well as 1.3 million and 2.1 million years ago. These are the large eruptions. Note that the next to last big one occurred at 800,000 years after the prior one, and from the last one we now are now 640,000 years into the next one! So, time-wise we are at 80% of the most recent known time frame for this "blowout". Of course, we and many coming generations will likely pass before the next one, but then, this thing could go at any time couldn't it.

i think there were pics a few months back.just about every conspiracy board was making threads.of corse olbummer made deals with australia and argentina to move americans there in an emergency.mass migration.thats why the open boarder and being nice to the immigrants.insurance.
plus the more open land down there, the better our chances of survivle later.we will lose alot of natural resorces if it blows.the worlds supply of wood products.so call it carbon tax to get south america to grow trees and wildlife/potential food ,lol.

mass migration on a global scale.plus basically death for anybody in canada and russia unless they get out in the first week.car air filters will be stopped up after that and then no way out.all filters in all industries which means no power in a month.even nuke plants will shut down.then freeze and nuclear meltdown,
then acceleration of death for all of northern hemisphere .

the poor wont make it out.
the moment it starts, you have two days.on the third it will be full blown panic and banks will close.the plastic cards will be useless and so will cash.gasoline runs supreme, air filters will be next in value.reusable wash out types will be like gold.
ive never been much for rules.
being me has its priviledges.
